Special event diverts bus services in Vaughan tomorrow



Tomorrow, Thursday, May 8, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m., the City of Vaughan will close Atkinson Avenue between Bathurst Street and Clarke Avenue to accommodate the Israel Independence Parade.

Brampton Transit, the Toronto Transit Commission and York Region Transit will divert buses during the event.

Brampton Transit

77 Highway 7:

Eastbound buses operate along their regular route to Centre and Bathurst Streets, then detour:

southward along Bathurst; and then
eastward along Clarke Avenue to Yonge Street,
resuming their regular route southward along Yonge.


TTC

160 Bathurst North:

The TTC has not announced detours, but buses will likely operate along their regular route to Atkinson Avenue and Bathurst Street, then detour southward along Bathurst, resuming their regular southbound route at Bathurst and Clarke Avenue.

77 Highway 7 — Centre:

23 Thornhill Woods:

Southbound buses operate along their regular route to Bathurst and Centre Streets, then detour:

southward along Bathurst; and then
eastward along Clarke Avenue to Atkinson Avenue,
resuming their regular route eastward along Clarke.

Northbound buses reverse this routing.

3 Thornhill — York University

Eastbound buses operate along their regular route to Atkinson Avenue and Bathurst Street, then detour:

northward along Bathurst;
westward along Highway 7; and then
southward along Yonge Street to Royal Orchard Drive,
resuming their regular route eastward along Royal Orchard.
