Filming disrupts TTC services tomorrow morning



Filming along Yonge Street between Adelaide and Melinda Streets will disrupt TTC services in downtown Toronto tomorrow, Sunday, May 11. Film crews will shoot from about 7 a.m. until 11 a.m. and block all traffic from Yonge and King Streets.


Closing the streets affects these TTC routes: 320 Yonge (overnight); 504 King (streetcars); 504 King (replacement buses).


504 King (replacement buses):

Eastbound buses start their trips at King Street West and Bathurst Street, then proceed:
northward along Bathurst;
eastward along Adelaide Street West;
southward along Portland Street;
eastward along King Street West;
northward along Bay Street;
eastward along Adelaide Streets West and East;
southward along Church Street;
eastward along King Street East; and then
southward** along Parliament Street and into King / Parliament Loop.

Westbound buses start their trips at King / Parliament Loop, then proceed:
westward along King Street East;
southward along Church Street;
westward along Wellington Streets East and West;
northward along York Street; and then
westward along King Street West to Bathurst.

After 9 a.m., when the 1 Yonge-University-Spadina subway starts operating, you can transfer between the bus and the subway at St. Andrew Station only. You won’t have access to the area around King Station until after filming ends at about 11 a.m.

504 King (streetcars):

Eastbound cars operate along their regular route to King Street West and Spadina Avenue, then detour:
northward along Spadina;
eastward along Queen Streets West and East; and then
southward along Church Street to King Street East,
resuming their regular route eastward along King.

Westbound cars operate along their regular route to King Street East and Church Street, then detour:
southward along Church;
westward along Wellington Streets East and West; and then
northward along York Street to King Street West,
resuming their regular route westward along King.

After 9 a.m., when the 1 Yonge-University-Spadina subway starts operating, you can transfer between the streetcar and the subway at Osgoode and Queen Stations. (You can also transfer to or from westbound streetcars only at St. Andrew Station.) You won’t have access to the area around King Station until after filming ends at about 11 a.m.

320 Yonge (overnight):

Overnight buses operate along Yonge Street on Sunday mornings until the 1 Yonge-University-Spadina subway starts at around 9 a.m.

Southbound buses operate along their regular route to Yonge and Adelaide Streets, then detour:
eastward along Adelaide Street East;
southward along Church Street; and then
westward along Wellington Street East to Yonge,
resuming their regular route southward along Yonge.

Northbound buses operate along their regular route to Bay Street and Front Street West, then detour:
northward along Bay; and then
eastward along Adelaide Street West to Yonge Street,
resuming their regular route northward along Yonge.
