TTC invites artists to contribute to St. Clair West line

The TTC is inviting artists to participate in the St. Clair Avenue West Transit Improvements Project Public Art Program to provide visual art for the new transit line along St. Clair Avenue West.

A Public Art Consultation Group (PACG), consisting of representatives from community arts organizations and local residents with a particular interest or background in art, provided input and comments to developing this public art program. Art consultants met with the PACG and attended their public meetings, workshops and events to establish the goals of the program.

The art will appear on the roofs of 22 of the 44 transit shelters along the St. Clair route. Artists will create two or three-dimensional artwork and in a variety of media, including glass, various metals and mixed media.

The deadline for submitting proposals is Friday, June 6.
