The TTC will refund the value of two days’ worth of fares to passengers who couldn’t use their passes during last month’s transit workers strike. The TTC will refund:

• $7.50 for an April adult Metropass;
• $7.00 for an April adult Metropass Discount Plan (MDP);
• $6.50 for an April adult volume incentive purchase (VIP) pass;
• $9.50 for an Adult weekly Pass - Week 17;
• $6.50 for an April senior or student Metropass;
• $6.00 for an April senior or student MDP;
• $7.50 for a senior or student weekly pass - Week 17;
• $7.50 for a GTA Pass - Week 17;
• $3.00 for a day pass - only if your pass is marked for April 25.

You must hand in your pass to any TTC collector at a booth in a subway station or at the MDP Office, 1900 Yonge Street before May 30 to receive a refund. The MDP Office is open Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m.

If you’re planning to claim a federal tax credit, you must sign the back of the pass and make a photocopy of both the front and back before you turn in your pass. If the Canada Revenue Agency audits you for a transit tax credit claim, it will accept a photocopy, with signature, of TTC passes for April.

The TTC will not refund customers who paid by cash, ticket or token on April 25th.
