You can see a prototype of the TTC's new subway train at "People in Motion"

The TTC will display a mock-up of the new TTC subway train, the Toronto Rocket, a low-floor accessible bus and a Wheel-Trans vehicle at People in Motion 2008, Canada’s largest exhibition for people with disabilities today, Friday, June 6 until 6 p.m. and tomorrow, Saturday, June 7 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.

The next generation of TTC subway cars will start in service in 2011. The Toronto Rocket will feature improved passenger mobility, including twelve wheelchair / mobility device areas, twice as many than the current subway cars.

TTC staff and members of the TTC’s Advisory Committee on Accessible Transportation (ACAT) will be available to answer questions and provide information on the TTC conventional system and Wheel-Trans service.

The TTC will be one of more than 120 exhibits at the 2008 People in Motion show at The Queen Elizabeth Building, Exhibition Place.
