Dufferin / St. Clair intersection closed for construction, June 27, 28, 29, 30



The next phase of the ongoing City of Toronto and TTC project to rebuild the streetcar tracks along St. Clair Avenue West will require the City to close parts of the intersection of Dufferin Street and St. Clair for two weekends.

Last weekend, June 20 to 22, work crews closed the southern half of the intersection. This weekend, starting at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, June 27 until 6 a.m. on Monday, June 30, they’ll close the southern half of the intersection.


The TTC will divert transit services during this construction. The project affects these routes: 29 Dufferin, 312 St. Clair (overnight); 329 Dufferin (overnight); 512 St. Clair.


29 Dufferin:
329 Dufferin (overnight):

Southbound buses operate along their regular route to Dufferin Street and Rogers Road, then detour:
westward along Rogers;
southward along Caledonia Road; and then
eastward along St. Clair Avenue West to Dufferin,
resuming their regular route southward along Dufferin.

Northbound buses operate along their regular route to Dufferin Street and St. Clair Avenue West, then detour:
eastward along St. Clair;
northward along Oakwood Avenue; and then
westward along Rogers Road to Dufferin,
resuming their regular route northward along Dufferin.

512 St. Clair:

Since March 30, the TTC has split the route at St. Clair West Station. Streetcars operate between St. Clair West and St. Clair Stations. Buses operate between Gunn’s Loop (St. Clair Avenue West at Gunn’s Road, west of Keele Street) and St. Clair West Station. 512 St. Clair buses will continue to operate between Gunn’s and St. Clair West throughout the Dufferin / St. Clair construction.

312 St. Clair (overnight): Buses operate along their regular route.
