Ajax construction affects DRT services

The Town of Ajax project to extend Commercial Avenue southward to Bayly Street may affect Durham Region Transit services.

The construction project will close the intersections of Bayly at Kitney Drive and Stonewood Drive at Commercial Avenue and the entrance from Bayly into Harwood Mall. It will also restrict Bayly Street to just two lanes of traffic — one in each direction.

Passengers travelling on DRT’s M24 Harwood, M26 Duffins, 283 Duffins and Harwood, Flag Buses 1 and 2 and the Sunday Flag Bus routes should expect delays during their trips.

Flag buses will continue to serve Ashley Manor during the construction.
