YRT moves Viva stop at York University
during Archives construction

Ongoing construction of the entrance to the new Archives of Ontario at York University requires York Region Transit to relocate its vivastation on the west side of Ian Macdonald Boulevard, north of York Lanes, starting Monday, July 21.

The temporary vivastation is just north of the present stop. During the construction, passengers can use the fare machines at the vivastation on the east side of the street to purchase fares.

Occasionally during the construction, buses may skip the westside vivastation. Signs will direct passengers to the eastside vivastation whenever that occurs.

The construction affects YRT’s Viva orange and Viva purple routes and will likely end on Friday, August 22.

YRT passengers traveling through York University should be used to the Archives project disrupting service. The project affected service through most of 2007 and again from April 14 to 25, 2007.
