GO installs bike racks on some buses headed to Hamilton

Starting, Friday, August 1, GO Transit buses operating on the 16 Hamilton QEW Express route between the Hamilton GO Centre and Union Station and the 01 Lakeshore West route between the Hamilton GO Centre and Aldershot GO Station will carry bicycle racks.

Bus racks appear on the front of each bus and two bicycles. The racks are available free of charge on a first come, first serve basis. If the racks are full, you will have to wait for the next bus.

Since June 30, you can also bring folding bicycles on all GO trains and buses. You can fold your bicycle into the proper carrying case and stow the case in the underfloor luggage compartment beneath many GO buses or under your seat and away from doorways on GO trains.
