Transit agencies often interline routes that share a common terminal to save resources — reduce the number of vehicles and drivers required to provide service to two or more routes. For example, a bus may start its trip at Rathburn and Mill Roads on the 48 Rathburn route, proceed along the route to Royal York Station, then leave the station to follow the 15 Evans route to Sherway Gardens. The bus will then reverse the trip to Royal York Station and Mill Road.
