Eglinton construction affects TTC service

Starting today, Tuesday, August 5 until July, 2009, a City of Toronto project to rebuild the bridge carrying Eglinton Avenue West across the former Belt Line Railway tracks — between Spadina Road and Chaplin Crescent - will affect TTC bus service.

32 Eglinton West

Passengers should expect delays. The TTC is operating a temporary short-turn service between Eglinton West and Eglinton West Stations to supplement the service through the construction zones and reduce overcrowding while construction continues.

Buses on the temporary branch operate every 12 minutes Mondays to Saturdays until 10 p.m. They also operate every 12 minutes from about 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. Sundays and holidays.

33 Forest Hill

The TTC will reverse the regular on-street looping of buses operating on the route.

Southbound buses start their trips at Bathurst Street and Roselawn Avenue, then proceed:

westward along Roselawn Avenue;
southeastward along Chaplin Crescent; and then westward along Eglinton to Spadina Road,
resuming their regular route southward along Spadina.

Northbound buses operate along their regular route to Spadina Road and Eglinton Avenue West, then detour:

westward along Eglinton; and then
northward along Bathurst Street to Roselawn Avenue,
ending their trips.
