Construction affects DRT bus service in Scugog

The Township of Scugog recently started a project to reconstruct King Street, which connects the Scugog communities of Port Perry and Prince Albert.

Durham Region Transit is detouring buses during the construction.

950 Uxbridge / Port Perry / UOIT

Starting Wednesday, August 6, southbound buses operate along their regular route to King and Union Streets, then detour:

northeastward along Union;
eastward along Major Street;
southward along Simcoe Street; and then
westward along King Street to Perryview Drive,
resuming their regular route northward along Perryview.

Northbound buses operate along their regular route to Perrview Drive and King Street, then detour:

eastward along King;
northward along Simcoe Street;
westward along Major Street; and then
southwestward along Union Street to King,
resuming their regular route westward along King.

Passengers on the 950 Uxbridge — Port Perry — UOIT route can also expect delays from the ongoing Region of Durham construction project on Simcoe Street at Shirley Road (Regional Roads 2 and 19.) The Simcoe / Shirley project started on May 20.
