Subway closed between Kennedy and Victoria Park

Update — 4:41 p.m.: Transit Toronto reader Richard White reports that the TTC closed the subway as the result of a fire at Warden Station, with many police, fire and other emergency personnel at the scene. They sealed off the station from about 11 a.m. until about 2:30 p.m.

Update — 2:39 p.m.: Regular Bloor — Danforth subway service has resumed.

In addition to the traffic and transit chaos resulting from the propane refinery explosion and shutdown of the 401, the TTC is also reporting that it has closed part of the 2 Bloor — Danforth subway between Kennedy and Victoria Park Stations. The TTC’s website does not explain why the subway is closed.

Shuttle buses are operating between the two stations, presumably also stopping at Warden Station.
