GO improves bus service in Bolton

Starting Monday, August 18, southbound GO Transit buses operating on the 38 Bolton — Highway 50 route will be stopping in downtown Bolton.

Buses headed for Malton GO Station will pick up passengers on Queen Street North (Highway 50) near Mill Street.

Until Monday, GO buses have only stopped on the edges of the village of Bolton.

A downtown Bolton GO bus stop is just the first step in improving regional transit to the Town of Caledon. The Ontario Government’s Move Ontario 2020 plan may result in future GO train service to Bolton. Later this year, the Region of Peel](http://www.region.peel.on.ca/) will work with GO Transit to build a bus station and “park ‘n’ ride” lot for GO bus commuters at Highway 50 and Mayfield Road, south of the village.
