On Tuesday, September 2, Mississauga Transit will make a number of changes to its routes and services, improving transit for riders in Churchill Meadows, Malton and other areas of Mississauga.
Specifically, MT will: introduce new routes; revise current regular routes; increase service hours on current regular routes; reduce service on current seasonal routes; resume services to high schools; adjust the schedules of current routes.

41A Thomas — Streetsville GOStarting Tuesday, September 2, buses operate from about 8:15 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., Mondays to Fridays, Monday-to-Friday evenings from about 7 until 11 p.m., Saturdays from about 9 a.m. until 7:30 p.m. and Sundays and holidays from about 10:15 a.m. until 7:30 p.m. Buses operate every 20 minutes during Monday-to-Friday late morning and early afternoon rush hours and every 40 minutes from about 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Mondays to Fridays, Monday-to-Friday evenings and all day Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
Eastbound buses start their trips on Ninth Line south of Henrietta Way, then proceed:
northward along Ninth;
eastward along TACC Drive;
northward along Churchill Meadows Boulevard;
eastward along Thomas Street;
southward along Glen Erin Drive;

The new route introduces transit service on Thomas Street between Churchill Meadows and Winston Churchill Boulevards and partially replaces the transit service that buses operating on the 49 McDowell — Erin Mills Centre route currently provide along Thomas Street between Glen Erin Drive and Winston Churchill and along TACC Drive and Churchill Meadows Boulevard.

Starting Tuesday, September 2, buses operating on this route replace all 41 Thomas — Erin Mills Centre service during the Monday-to-Friday early morning and late afternoon rush hours. Passengers on morning buses will arrive at Streetsville GO Station in time to connect with GO Transit’s 21 Milton train heading toward Union Station. Passengers on afternoon 21 Milton trains from Union Station will arrive at Streetsville in time to connect with afternoon 41A Thomas — Streetsville GO buses.

11A Westwood — DarcelStarting, Tuesday, September 2 Mississauga Transit will revise the hours of service and routes of the various branches of the current 11 Westwood service. It will also rename the various branches. Buses operating along all branches will travel along Highway 27 and Rexdale Boulevard, instead of Highway 427 north of Highway 401, seven days a week. (Currently, buses only travel along Highway 27 on Sundays and holidays.)

In the afternoon rush hour, MT reverses this arrangement, with northbound buses operating on the 11A Westwood — Darcel branch, dropping passengers off in the residential area and southbound buses operating on the 11B Westwood — Nashua route picking up passengers in the industrial area.
Starting Monday, September 2, this new branch will replace the current 11A Westwood Monday-to-Friday morning rush hour service along Rexwood Road and Nashua Drive. The new branch also operates during afternoon rush hours.
Monday-to-Friday morning rush hour buses only operate northward from Islington Station, proceeding:

Increase service hours on current regular routes
Starting Tuesday, September 2, Mississauga Transit will introduce hourly evening service along the route.
Southbound buses leave South Common Terminal every hour from 10:08 a.m. until 3:08 p.m. Three southbound evening trips will leave South Common at 6:43, 7:43 and 8:43 p.m.
Northbound buses leave Clarkson GO Station every hour from 9:38 a.m. until 3:38 p.m. Three northbund evening trips will leave Clarkson at 7:16, 8:16 and 9:16 p.m.
Reduce service on current seasonal routes
288 Wonderland ExpressFriday August 29 will be the last day this year that Mississauga Transit operates buses on the route seven days a week. From Saturday, August 30 until Sunday, October 12, buses will only operate on Saturdays, Sundays and Labour Day, Monday, September 1.
