GO opens new station and revises services,
starting August 30



GO Transit will open its newest train station, Lincolnville, on the 71 Stouffville line on Tuesday, September 2 and revise many of its routes and services, starting Saturday, August 30.


Specifically, GO will: open a new station; revise a current route; increase service on current routes; resume services to colleges and universities; decrease service on a seasonal route; and adjust the schedules of current routes.


The changes affect these routes: 01 Lakeshore West; 09 Lakeshore East; 19 Oakville Highway 403; 21 Milton; 29 University of Guelph; 31 Georgetown; 32 Brampton Trinity Common; 37 Orangeville; 38 Bolton Highway 50; 46 Highway 407 West; 50 U of T Scarborough / Centennial College; 52 Highway 407 East; 60 Wonderland; 61 Richmond Hill; 65 Barrie; 71 Stouffville; 93 Durham College / UOIT.


Open a new station

On Tuesday, September 2, GO will open its newest station, Lincolnville, which will be the terminal for trains operating on the 71 Stouffville line. The new station stands on the north side of Bethesda Road, east of Tenth Line beside the GO’s storage facility for Stouffville trains in the Town of Whitchurch — Stouffville.

GO will revise the Monday-to-Friday route for all buses operating to and from Uxbridge and adjust the Monday-to-Friday schedules for all trains and buses operating on the 71 Stouffville route. GO will not change the routes or schedules of buses operating on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.


Revise a current route

71 Stouffville

Starting Tuesday, September 2, all Monday-to-Friday southbound trains will start their trips at the new Lincolnville Station, while all Monday-to-Friday northbound trains will end their trips at Lincolnville, which is east of Stouffville GO Station.

All Monday-to-Friday buses travelling to or from Uxbridge will detour into the new Lincolnville Station. They will travel along their regular route to Tenth Line and Bethesda Sideroad, then proceed:

eastward along Bethesda,
through the Lincolnville Station bus loop; then continue
westward along Bethesda to Tenth,
resuming their regular route north- or southward along Tenth.

Buses operating on Saturdays, Sundays or holidays will continue to operate along their current route and will not serve the bus stop at Lincolnville.

GO will also adjust the Monday-to-Friday schedule.

Increase service on current routes

38 Bolton Highway 50

Starting Tuesday, September 2, GO will schedule three more Monday-to-Friday southbound trips between Columbia Way in north Bolton and Malton GO Station. Buses operating on the new trips will leave Bolton at 9:35 and 11:35 a.m. and 1:05 p.m., serve all stops along the route and arrive at Malton at 10:10 a.m., 12:10 and 1:40 p.m.

(On Monday, August 18, southbound GO buses on this route starting picking up passengers from a new stop on Queen Street North (Highway 50) at Mill Street in downtown Bolton.)

Starting Tuesday, September 2, GO will schedule three more Monday-to-Friday northbound trips between Malton GO Station and Columbia Way in north Bolton. Buses operating on the new trips will leave Malton at 10:03 a.m., 12:03 and 1:33 p.m., serve all stops along the route and arrive in Bolton at 10:35 a.m., 12:35 and 2:05 p.m.

32 Brampton Trinity Common

Starting Tuesday, September 2, GO will schedule one more westbound Monday-to-Friday afternoon trip between Yonge Street and Sheppard Avenue in Toronto and Trinity Common Terminal in Brampton. The bus operating on the new trip will leave Yonge and Sheppard at 5:15 p.m., serve all stops along the route and arrive at Trinity Common at 6:15 p.m.

31 Georgetown

Starting Friday, September 5, GO will increase service on the route by operating buses on Friday-only trips eastbound from York University to Brampton Bus Terminal.

It will also adjust the schedules of trains and buses, starting Tuesday, September 2.

09 Lakeshore East

Starting Saturday, August 30, GO will schedule one more early-morning westbound bus trip between Oshawa GO Station and Union Station on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

The bus operating on the new trip will leave Oshawa at 4:40 a.m., stop at Whitby GO Station at 4:50, Ajax GO Station at 5 and Pickering GO Station at 5:10 a.m. It will then travel express (without stopping) to downtown Toronto, arriving at the Union Station GO Bus Terminal at 5:45 a.m.

GO will also adjust the schedule of Monday-to-Friday westbound trains.

01 Lakeshore West

Starting Labour Day, Monday, September 1, GO will increase service on the route by operating buses on Sundays or holiday Mondays westbound from Aldershot GO Station to McMaster University.

It will also adjust the schedules of eastbound trains, starting Tuesday, September 2.

21 Milton

Starting Saturday, August 30, GO will schedule an earlier Saturday morning westbound bus trip between Union Station GO Bus Terminal and Milton. A bus operating on the new trip leaves Union Station at 7:20 a.m., serves all stops along the route and arrives at Martin and Main Streets in Milton at 9 a.m.

Starting Sunday, August 31, GO will schedule more eastbound Sunday and holiday trips between Meadowvale GO Station and Union Station GO Bus Terminal. Buses leave Meadowvale on these new trips at 10:25 and 11:25 a.m., serve all stops along the route and arrive at Union at 11:40 a.m. and 12:40 p.m. GO will also schedule more westbound Sunday and holiday trips between Union Station GO Bus Terminal and Meadowvale GO Station. Buses operating on these new trips leave Union at 3:50, 4:50, 5:50 and 6:50 p.m., serve all stops along the route and arrive at Meadowvale at 5, 6, 7 and 8 p.m.

GO will also adjust the schedule of Monday-to-Friday eastbound train service.

19 Oakville Highway 403

Starting Tuesday, September 2, GO will schedule more Monday-to-Friday afternoon westbound service. Buses operating on two new trips leave Finch GO Bus Terminal, serve all stops along Yonge Street to Sheppard Avenue, then travel express (without stopping) to the Mississauga City Centre Terminal at Square One. The buses on the new trips leave Finch at 4:05 and 4:35 p.m., arriving at Square One at 4:50 and 5:25 p.m. GO will also add one later Monday-to-Friday afternoon trip, serving all stops along the route between Finch GO Bus Terminal and Oakville GO Station. The bus operating on this trip leaves Finch at 5:50 p.m. and arrives in Oakville at 7:25 p.m.

GO will also adjust the Monday-to-Friday afternoon westbound schedule.

Resume services to colleges and universities

93 Durham College / UOIT

Starting Tuesday, September 2, GO will resume service on this Monday-to-Friday route between Scarborough Centre Terminal and the shared campus of Durham College and the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) in Oshawa.

Northbound buses leave Scarborough at 6:40, 6:50, 7:20, 7:50, 8:20 and 8:50 a.m. and then every hour until 8:50 p.m. They arrive at Durham / UOIT at 7:20, 7:30, 8, 8:30, 9 and 9:30 a.m. and then every hour until 9:30 p.m.

Southbound buses leave Durham / UOIT every hour from 10:10 a.m. until 10:10 p.m., arriving in Scarborough every hour from 10:50 a.m. until 10:50 p.m. Three extra trips leave Durham / UOIT at 2:40, 3:40 and 4:40 p.m., arriving in Scarborough at 3:20, 4:20 and 5:20 p.m.

31 Georgetown

Starting Friday, September 5, buses operate on two new eastbound trips between the University of Guelph and Brampton GO Bus Terminal on Friday afternoons (or Thursday afternoons if Friday is a holiday.) The buses leave the University at 1:55 and 3:55 p.m., serve all local stops and arrive in Brampton at 3:20 and 5:20 p.m.

GO will also adjust the schedule of the route.

52 Highway 407 East

Starting Sunday August 31, GO resumes Sunday and holiday service along the route. Eastbound buses leave the Oshawa Bus Terminal at 3:10 and 7:10 p.m, serve all stops along the route and arrive at York University at 4:25 and 8:25 p.m. Westbound buses leave York University at 4:45 and 8:45 p.m, serve all stops along the route and arrive at the Oshawa Bus Terminal at 6 and 10 p.m.

Starting Tuesday, September 2, GO also resumes operating many more buses along the route to the University of Toronto Scarborough Campus, Centennial College Progress Campus, Durham College, the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) and York University from Monday to Friday.

From Monday to Friday in the summer, buses travel along four branches between York University and:

  • Pickering GO Station — buses stop at Langstaff GO Station, Scarborough Centre Terminal, Centennial College Progress Campus and the University of Toronto Scarborough Campus.
  • Pickering GO Station — buses operate express (without stopping).
  • Mount Joy GO Station — buses stop at Langstaff, Unionville, Centennial and Markham GO Stations.
  • Oshawa Bus Terminal — buses stop at Langstaff and Unionville GO Stations, various communities along Highway 7 between Brougham and Brooklin and the shared campus of Durham College and the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT).

Starting Tuesday, September 2, GO will also resume operating buses on two more Monday-to-Friday branches between York University and:

  • Scarborough Centre Terminal — buses operate express (without stopping).
  • Unionville GO Station — buses operate express (without stopping) westward only from Unionville to York.

Buses operate on some express trips between York and Scarborough and between York and Unionville only from Mondays to Thursdays.

46 Highway 407 West

Starting Sunday August 31, GO will resume Sunday and holiday service along the route. Eastbound buses leave the Hamilton GO Centre every hour from 11:05 a.m. until 8:05 p.m., serve all stops along the route and arrive at York University every hour from 12:40 until 9:40 p.m. Two eastbound buses also leave the University of Guelph at 3:15 and 7:45 p.m., serve all stops along the route and arrive at York University at 4:45 and 9:15 p.m.

Westbound Sunday and holiday buses leave York University every hour from 12:30 until 10:30 p.m., serve all stops along the route and arrive at the Hamilton GO Station every hour from 2:10 until 11:10 p.m. Two westbound buses also leave York University at 5:55 and 9:35 p.m., serve all stops along the route and arrive at the University of Guelph at 7:05 and 11:05 p.m.

Starting Tuesday, September 2, GO also resumes operating many more buses along the route to the University of Guelph, McMaster University, Sheridan College Trafalgar Campus and York University from Monday to Friday.

From Monday to Friday in the summer, buses travel along several branches between York University and:

  • The Hamilton GO Centre — buses stop at McMaster University, park and ride lots along Highway 407 at Dundas Street, Bronte and Trafalgar Roads, Mississauga City Centre Terminal at Square One and Bramalea GO Station.
  • Oakville GO Station — buses stop at Sheridan College Trafalgar Campus, the park and ride lot at Highway 407 and Trafalgar Road, Square One and Bramalea GO Station.
  • The University of Guelph — buses stop at the Aberfoyle park and ride lot and Meadowvale and Bramalea GO Stations. (Some buses operate a short-turn service to and from Meadowvale.)
  • Streetsville GO Station — buses stop at Square One.
  • Meadowvale GO Station — buses operate express (without stopping).

Starting Tuesday, September 2, GO will resume operating buses two more Monday-to-Friday branches between York University and:

  • Square One — buses operate express.
  • Bramalea GO Station — buses operate express.

Also starting Tuesday, September 2, GO will operate buses along two Monday-to-Friday express branches between McMaster University and:

  • Square One.
  • the park and ride lot at Highway 407 and Trafalgar Road.

Buses operate on some eastbound trips from McMaster to the Trafalgar Road park and ride lot on Fridays only (unless Friday is a holiday, when the buses would operate on Thursday). Buses operate on some westbound trips from York University to Square One on Fridays only (unless Friday is a holiday, when the buses would operate on Thursday). Buses operate on other westbound trips from York University to Square One Mondays to Thursdays only.

01 Lakeshore West

Starting Labour Day, Monday, September 1, GO Transit will again operate trips between Aldershot GO Station and McMaster University on Sunday afternoons and evenings (or, when Monday is a holiday, on Monday afternoons and evenings.) Buses operate eight Sunday or holiday trips, leaving Aldershot every hour from 3:50 until 10:50 p.m., arriving at McMaster every hour from 4 until 11 p.m.

GO will also adjust the schedule of Monday-to-Friday eastbound train service.

64 Newmarket — York University

Starting Tuesday, September 2, GO will schedule two more southbound trips between the Newmarket GO Bus Terminal and York University. Buses operating on the new trips will leave Newmarket at 8:35 a.m. and 2:10 p.m., serve all stops along the route and arrive at York at 9:45 a.m. and 3:10 p.m.

Starting Tuesday, September 2 GO will schedule two more northbound trips between York University and the Newmarket GO Bus Terminal. Buses operating on the new trips will leave York at 2:35 and 3:30 p.m., serve all stops along the route and arrive in Newmarket at 3:35 and 4:35 p.m.

29 University of Guelph

Starting Labour Day, Monday, September 1, GO will again operate buses on Sunday afternoons and evenings (or Monday afternoons and evenings if Monday is a holiday) in both directions between Cooksville GO Station and the University of Guelph.

Eastbound buses leave the University at 2:10, 5:40 and 8:40 p.m. on Sundays and holidays, serve all stops along the route and arrive at Cooksville at 3:10, 6:40 and 9:40 p.m.

Westbound buses leave Cooksville at 4:05, 7:10 and 10:10 p.m., serve all stops along the route and arrive at the University at 5:10, 8:10 and 11:10 p.m.

50 U of T Scarborough / Centennial College

Starting Tuesday, September 2, GO will resume this Monday-to-Friday route. Southbound buses leave Unionville GO Station at 8:15, 9:15 and 10:20 a.m., arrive at the Progress Campus of Centennial College at 8:40, 9:40 and 10:42 a.m. and end their trips at the University of Toronto’s Scarborough Campus at 8:50, 9:50 and 10:50 a.m.

Northbound buses leave U of T Scarborough at 2:15, 3:15 and 5:15 p.m., arrive at Centennial’s Progress Campus at 2:27, 3:27 and 5:27 p.m. and end their trips in Unionville at 2:45, 3:45 and 5:45 p.m.

Decrease service on a seasonal route

60 Wonderland

Friday, August 29 will be the last day this year that GO Transit will operate buses along the route seven days a week. From Saturday, August 30 until Saturday, November 1, buses only operate along the route on Saturdays, Sundays and Labour Day, Monday, September 1.

Adjust schedules of current routes

65 Barrie

Starting Tuesday, September 2, GO will adjust Monday-to-Friday southbound train schedules. All trains will leave Barrie and serve all other stops at the same time as the current schedules, but may arrive at Union Station slightly earlier or later than currently.

31 Georgetown

Starting Tuesday, September 2, GO will adjust Monday-to-Friday eastbound train schedules. All trains will leave Georgetown or Bramalea GO Stations and serve all other stops at the same time as they do in the current schedules, but may arrive at Union Station slightly earlier or later than currently.

Starting Tuesday, September 2, the Monday-to-Friday afternoon westbound train that currently leaves Union Station for Brampton GO Station at 3:05 p.m. will leave five minutes later at 3:10 p.m. The train will arrive at all stops five minutes later than currently and arrive in Brampton at 3:57 p.m.

GO will also adjust the schedule of the Tuesday-to-Saturday early morning westbound bus that leaves Union GO Bus Terminal at 1:30 a.m. for Georgetown. The bus will arrive at all stops until Bramalea GO Station at the same time as the current schedule, but arrive at Steeles Avenue East and Rutherford Road in Brampton two minutes later than currently at 2:12 a.m., Steeles and Hurontario Street two minutes later than currently at 2:16 and arrive at Brampton GO Bus Terminal two minutes later than currently at 2:22 a.m. The bus will leave Brampton Terminal five minutes later than currently at 2:25 and arrive at all other stops west of the Terminal five minutes later than currently, ending its trip at Georgetown GO Station at 2:56 a.m.

GO will also increase services to Brampton from the University of Guelph on Friday afternoons.

09 Lakeshore East

Starting Tuesday, September 2, GO will adjust Monday-to-Friday westbound train schedules. All trains will leave Oshawa GO Station and serve all other stops at the same time as they do in the current schedules, but may arrive at Union Station slightly earlier or later than currently.

01 Lakeshore West

Starting Tuesday, September 2, GO will adjust Monday-to-Friday eastbound train schedules. All trains will leave Hamilton, Aldershot or Burlington GO Stations and serve all other stops at the same time as they do in the current schedules, but may arrive at Union Station slightly earlier or later than currently.

21 Milton

Starting Tuesday, September 2, GO will adjust Monday-to-Friday eastbound train schedules. All trains will leave Milton GO Station and serve all other stops at the same time as they do in the current schedules, but may arrive at Union Station slightly earlier or later than currently.

19 Oakville Highway 403

Starting Tuesday, September 2, GO will adjust the schedule so that the Monday-to-Friday westbound bus that currently leaves Finch GO Bus Terminal at 4:15 p.m. will leave five minutes later at 4:20 p.m. The bus will serve all stops along the route five minutes later than currently, arriving at Oakville GO Station at 5:55 p.m. The Monday-to-Friday westbound bus that currently leaves Finch at 5:35 p.m. will leave 15 minutes earlier at 5:20 p.m. The bus will serve all stops along the route 15 minutes later than currently, arriving at Oakville at 6:55 p.m.

GO will also increase service on the route.

37 Orangeville

Starting Tuesday, September 2, the bus that currently leaves Brampton GO Bus Terminal at 4:05 p.m. will leave five minutes earlier at 4 p.m. The bus will arrive at all stops five minutes earlier than currently, ending its trip at the Orangeville park and ride Lot at Townline and Green Street at 4:55 p.m.

61 Richmond Hill

Starting Tuesday, September 2, GO will adjust Monday-to-Friday southbound train schedules. All trains will leave Richmond Hill GO Station and serve all other stops at the same time as they do in the current schedules, but may arrive at Union Station slightly earlier or later than currently.

71 Stouffville

Starting Tuesday, September 2, GO will open the new Lincolnville GO Station and adjust Monday-to-Friday southbound train schedules. Trains will start their trips at Lincolnville about seven minutes earlier than they currently start their trips at Stouffville GO Station. All trains will leave Stouffville and serve all other stops at the same time as they do in the current schedules, but may arrive at Union Station slightly earlier or later than currently.

GO will also adjust the Monday-to-Friday northbound train schedules. All trains will leave Union Station at the same time as they do on the current schedule, but may arrive at all other stops along the line slightly later or earlier than currently. Northbound trains will arrive at Stouffville GO Station at 5:18, 5:48, 6:22, 7:02 and 7:29 p.m. and at Lincolnville GO Station at 5:29, 5:59, 6:33, 7:13 and 7:40 p.m.

Starting Tuesday, September 2, Monday-to-Friday morning southbound GO buses that start their trips in Uxbridge to meet southbound trains at Mount Joy GO Station, will end their trips at Lincolnville GO Station, where bus passengers can connect with southbound trains. Monday-to-Friday afternoon northbound buses travelling to Uxbridge that currently meet northbound trains at Mount Joy GO Station will now start their trips and meet the trains at Lincolnville.

Starting Tuesday, September 2, GO will adjust the schedule of many Monday-to-Friday bus trips to and from all stops along the route. It will revise the route of all Monday-to-Friday buses traveling to or from Uxbridge so that buses serve Lincolnville GO Station. It will not change the schedules for Saturday, Sunday and holiday bus service.
