Oakville Transit staff will demonstrate how to use bike racks today, Saturday, August 23, at the Glen Abbey Community Centre, 1415 Third Line, from 9 until 11 a.m. and the Iroquois Ridge Community Centre, 1051 Glenashton Drive, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Oakville Transit has equipped more than 50 of its buses with bike racks.
OT has equipped more than 50 buses with bike racks and will continue to install more racks as it adds buses to its fleet. You can use bike racks on Oakville Transit buses operating on all routes between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. and evenings, Mondays to Fridays and all day Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
Transit systems serving nearby municipalities also operate buses with bus racks. All Burlington Transit and Hamilton Street Railway buses carry the racks.
And, since Friday, August 1, most GO Transit buses operating on the 16 Hamilton QEW Express route and many buses operating on the 01 Lakeshore West route between the Hamilton GO Centre and Aldershot GO Station also carry bike racks.
