YRT revises service, August 31



For many people, Labour Day weekend marks the end of the summer. Transit passengers return from vacation to travel to work or school or both — and transit agencies resume their regular service levels after a season of fewer passengers.

This year, transit services to high schools are the focus of York Region Transit when it introduces its fall schedule on Sunday, August 31.


The changes affect these YRT routes:

Specifically, YRT will:

introduce new routes; introduce new branches on current routes; revise current routes; increase service on current routes; decrease service on current routes; increase the frequency of service on current routes; decrease the frequency of service on current routes; resume service to colleges and universities; cancel service to colleges and universities; resume service to high schools; rename current routes; renumber a current route; adjust the schedules of current routes.


Introduce new routes

466 Emily Carr High School Special

To accommodate passengers living along Rutherford and Martin Grove Roads, YRT will introduce this new route on Tuesday, September 2.

Monday-to-Friday afternoons at 2:35 p.m., a bus leaves Emily Carr Secondary School, then proceeds:

westward along Rutherford Road;
southward along York Region Highway 27; and then south- and eastward along Martin Grove Road to Woodbridge Avenue,
ending its trip at 2:50 p.m.

452 Richmond Green High School Special via Hazelton

On Tuesday, September 2, YRT will introduce this new route, replacing part of the previous 449 Richmond Hill Green High School Special via Hillmount route.

Monday-to-Friday mornings at 8:40 a.m., a bus leaves Stoney Hill Boulevard and Woodbine Avenue, then proceeds:

eastward along Stoney Hill;
southward along Hazelton Avenue;
westward along Major Mackenzie Drive;
northward along Woodbine Avenue;
westward along Elgin Mills Road; and then
northward along Leslie Street to Richmond Green High School,
ending its trip at 9:08 a.m.

Monday-to-Friday afternoons, a bus leaves Richmond Green High School and proceeds:

southward along Leslie Street;
eastward along Elgin Mills Road;
southward along Woodbine Avenue;
eastward along Stoney Hill Boulevard;
southward along Hazelton Avenue to Major Mackenzie Drive,
westward along Major Mackenzie Drive; and then
ending its trip at 4:13 p.m.

427 Sacred Heart High School Special

To accommodate passengers living in the Stonehaven neighbourhood, YRT will introduce this new route on Tuesday, September 2.

Monday-to-Friday mornings at 7:30 and 7:35 a.m., buses leave Bayview Avenue and Saint John’s Sideroad, then proceed:

northward along Bayview;
eastward along Stonehaven Avenue;
northward along Leslie Street; and then
eastward along Lemar Road to Sacred Heart Catholic High School,
ending their trips at 7:55 and 8 a.m.

Monday-to-Friday afternoons at 2:35, 2:40 and 3:25 p.m., buses leave Sacred Heart Catholic High School, then proceed:

southward along Carlson;
eastward along Gorham Street;
southward along Leslie Street;
westward along Stonehaven Avenue; and then
southward along Bayview Avenue to Saint John’s Sideroad,
ending their trips at 3, 3:05 and 3:50 p.m.

464 Saint Joan of Arc High School Special

To accommodate passengers living in the Columbus Trail and Maple Springs communities, YRT will introduce this new route on Tuesday, September 2.

Monday-to-Friday mornings at 7:49 a.m., a bus leaves Grand Valley Boulevard and Jane Street, then proceeds:

westward along Grand Valley;
northward along Treasure Road;
westward along Del Francisco Road;
northward along Mast Road and John Deisman Boulevard;
eastward along America Avenue and Brandon Gate Drive;
north- and westward along Melville Avenue;
eastward along Drummond Road;
southward along Keele Street;
westward along McNaughton Road to Saint Joan of Arc Catholic Secondary School,
ending its trip at 8:05 a.m.

Monday-to-Friday afternoons at 2:35 p.m., the bus starts its trip at Saint Joan of Arc Catholic Secondary School, then reverses this routing, ending its trip at Grand Valley Boulevard and Jane Street at 2:53 p.m.

465 Saint Joan of Arc High School Special

To accommodate passengers in Maple living along Melville Avenue and Keele Street, YRT will introduce this new route on Tuesday, September 2.

Monday-to-Friday mornings at 7:50 a.m., a bus leaves Keele Street and Knightswood Avenue, then proceeds:

southward along Keele;
westward along Rutherford Road;
northward along Melville Avenue;
eastward along Major Mackenzie Drive;
north- and eastward along McNaughton Road to Saint Joan of Arc Catholic Secondary School,
ending its trip at 8:05 a.m.

Monday-to-Friday afternoons at 2:35 a.m., the bus starts its trip at Saint Joan of Arc Catholic Secondary School, then reverses this routing, ending its trip at Keele Street and Knightswood Road at 2:53 p.m.

414 Unionville / Bill Crothers High School Special

On Tuesday, August 5 YRT started operating buses on this new route to accommodate students and other residents of the Town of Whitchurch — Stouffville who want to travel to Bill Crothers Secondary School and Unionville High School.

(The school year started on August 5 at Bill Crothers.)

The route does not serve the two secondary schools directly. Passengers travel along the route to the Markham — Stouffville Hospital, then transfer to buses operating along Viva blue or YRT’s 1 Highway 7 routes to reach the schools.

At 7:05 a.m., Mondays to Fridays, a bus leaves Stouffville GO Station and proceeds:

westward along Main Street;
northward along Ninth Line;
westward along Elm Road;
northward along Glad Park Avenue;
eastward along Millard Road and Hemlock Drive;
southward along Tenth Line;
westward along Hoover Park Drive; and then
southward along Ninth Line to Markham - Stouffville Hospital,
ending its trip at 7:40 a.m.

At 3:55 p.m., Mondays to Fridays, a bus leaves Markham - Stouffville Hospital and proceeds:

northward along Ninth Line;
westward along Elm Road;
northward along Glad Park Avenue;
eastward along Millard Road and Hemlock Drive;
southward along Tenth Line;
westward along Hoover Park Drive to Ninth Line,
ending its trip at 4:28 p.m.


Introduce new branches on current routes

77A Highway 7 - Centre

YRT and Brampton Transit together operate Highway 7 service between the Bramalea Transit Terminal and Finch GO Bus Terminal. Starting Tuesday, September 2, Brampton Transit will provide express service on the new 77A branch between Bramalea and York University. Buses operating on four Monday-to-Friday morning eastbound trips will leave Bramalea Terminal at 6:22, 6:52, 7:22 and 7:52 a.m., then proceed:

eastward along Knightsbridge Road;
northward along Bramalea Road;
eastward along Queen Street East / Highway 7;
southward along Highway 427;
eastward along Highway 407;
northward along Weston Road;
eastward along Highway 7;
southward along Keele Street; and then
eastward along York Boulevard into the Keele Campus of York University,
where the buses end their trips.

Buses operating on four Monday-to-Friday afternoon westbound trips will leave York University at 3:45, 4:30, 5:30 and 6:15 p.m. and reverse this routing to Bramalea.

Buses serve local stops along Queen Street East and Highway 7, but operate express along Highways 427 and 407.


Revise current routes

222 Aurora - Newmarket GO Shuttle

To improve arrival times at Aurora GO Station, YRT will revise the route starting Tuesday, September 2.

Southbound buses operate along their current route to John West Way and Wellington Street East, then proceed:

south- and westward along Mary Street; and then
northward along Industrial Parkway South to Aurora GO Station,
where the buses end their trips.

Northbound buses start their trips at Aurora GO Station, then proceed:

eastward along Industrial Parkway South;
southward along Industry Street; and then
northward along Mary Street to Wellington Street East,
where the buses resume their current route northward along John West Way.

55/55B Davis Drive

To help passengers wanting to connect with Viva buses at the Newmarket GO Bus Terminal early Monday-to-Friday mornings, starting Tuesday, September 2, westbound buses will no longer operate through Upper Canada Mall during Monday-to-Friday morning rush hours.

462 Maple High School Special

To accommodate passengers living near Drummond Road, starting Tuesday, September 2, YRT will slightly revise the route.

Monday-to-Friday mornings, the bus will follow its previous route to McNaughton Road and Cranston Park Avenue, then divert:

eastward along McNaughton;
northward along Keele Street;
westward along Drummond Road to Cranston Park,
resuming its previous route westward along Melville Avenue.

Monday-to-Friday afternoons, the bus will reverse this routing.

57A Mulock Drive

Starting Sunday, August 31, YRT buses on the 53 Woodspring - Clearmeadow route will no longer operate along Sawmill Valley Drive or into Weston Produce on Sundays and holidays. Westbound buses will end their trips at Yonge Street and Mulock Drive.

YRT will also interline buses operating on the 53 Woodspring - Clearmeadow route with buses operating on the 57A Mulock route on Sundays and holidays.

449 Richmond Green High School Special via Hillmount

Starting Tuesday, September 2, YRT will shorten the route. Buses will start and end their trips at Woodbine Avenue and Major Mackenzie Drive.

YRT buses operating on the new 452 Richmond Hill Green High School Special via Hazelton route will replace the previous service north of Major Mackenzie.

413 Saint Robert - Thornlea School Special
413 Saint Robert via Green Lane

To accommodate students at Saint Robert Catholic High School and Thornlea Secondary School, starting Tuesday, September 2, YRT will extend former 413 Saint Robert via Green Lane route and rename it 413 Saint Robert - Thornlea School Special.

Monday-to-Friday mornings, a bus will leave Simonston Boulevard and Don Mills Road, and then proceed:

counterclockwise around Simonston;
northward along Don Mills;
westward along John Street;
where the bus resumes its previous routing to Thornlea and Saint Robert.

Monday-to-Friday afternoons, the bus will reverse this routing.

446 Saint Theresa High School Special

To accommodate passengers living in the Queen Filomena subdivision travelling to and from Saint Theresa Catholic High School, starting Tuesday, September 2, YRT will revise the route.

Monday-to-Friday mornings, a bus will leave the Promenade Terminal and proceed along the previous route to Bathurst Street and Queen Filomena Avenue, then proceed:

westward along Queen Filomena;
northward along Via Romano Boulevard;
eastward along Teston Road;
northward along Bathurst Street; and then
eastward along Shaftesbury Avenue to Saint Theresa,
where the bus ends its trip.

Monday-to-Friday afternoons, a bus will leave Saint Theresa Catholic High School and proceed:

southward along Larratt Lane;
westward along Elgin Mills Road to Bathurst Street,
reversing the morning routing.

83/83A Trench

Starting Tuesday, September 2, buses will operate along a revised route through Hillcrest Mall.

53 Woodspring - Clearmeadow

Starting Sunday, August 31, YRT buses on the 53 Woodspring - Clearmeadow route will no longer operate along Sawmill Valley Drive on Sundays and holidays. Southbound buses will end their trips at Yonge Street and Mulock Drive.

YRT will also interline buses operating on the 53 Woodspring - Clearmeadow route with buses operating on the 57A Mulock route on Sundays and holidays.

Starting Tuesday, September 2, YRT will also increase the number of buses operating along the route Mondays to Saturdays.


Increase service on current routes

Viva blue

Starting Sunday, August 31, buses will operate until 2:15 a.m. seven days a week to meet the TTC’s last northbound 1 Yonge - University - Spadina subway train, arriving at Finch Station at 2:15 a.m.

(The TTC has temporarily replaced subways with buses during subway tunnel construction.)

53 Woodspring - Clearmeadow

Starting Tuesday, September 2, YRT will also increase the number of buses operating along the route Mondays to Saturdays.

YRT will also revise the route.


Decrease service on current routes

34 Industrial Parkway

Starting Tuesday, September 2, YRT will cancel the Monday-to-Friday northbound trip from Yonge and Edward Streets at 7:33 a.m. and the Monday-to-Friday southbound trip from Bayview Avenue and Saint John’s Sideroad at 7:55 a.m.


Increase the frequency of service on current routes

Viva orange
Viva purple

Starting Sunday, August 31, buses will again operate every 10 minutes during Monday-to-Friday rush hours and every 15 minutes during all other times of the week. (Viva buses ran this frequently on the orange and purple routes before June 30.)

10 York U - Woodbridge

With the start of the fall school term at York University on Tuesday September 2, YRT will resume operating buses to York’s Keele Campus about every 30 minutes during Monday-to-Friday rush hours.


Decrease the frequency of service on current routes

5 Clark

YRT will continue to operate buses every fifteen minutes during Monday-to-Friday rush hours. (On June 30, YRT reduced the frequency of service “until September”.)

99 Yonge South

YRT will continue to operate buses every twelve minutes during Monday-to-Friday rush hours. (On June 30, YRT reduced the frequency of service “until September”.)


Resume service to colleges and universities

10 York U - Woodbridge

With the start of the fall school term at York University on Tuesday September 2, YRT will resume operating buses to York’s Keele Campus about every 30 minutes during Monday-to-Friday rush hours.


Cancel service to colleges and universities

90 Leslie South

YRT will not resume service to Seneca College’s King City Campus this term. All northbound buses will end their trips at the West Elgin Community Centre (Bathurst Street at Shaftesbury Avenue.) Passengers traveling to or from Seneca College will have to transfer to or from buses operating on the 88 Bathurst route at West Elgin.


Resume service to high schools

32 Aurora South

To accommodate more passengers traveling to Dr. G.W. Williams High School, starting Tuesday, September 2, a northbound bus will leave Bathurst Street and McClellan Way at 7:45 a.m., Mondays to Fridays. The bus will operate along its regular route to Wellington Street East and Berczy Street, then divert:

southward along Berczy;
westward along Metcalfe Street;
south- and westward along Edward Street;
northward along Yonge Street; and then
eastward along Dunning Avenue to G. W. Williams,
ending its trip at 7:58 a.m.

91 Bayview South

To accommodate passengers travelling from Thornlea Secondary School, Starting Tuesday, September 2, YRT will resume operating buses on several Monday-to-Friday trips:

  • a southbound trip from Bayview Avenue and High Tech Road at 2:54 p.m.
  • a northbound trip from Bayview Avenue and John Street at 3 p.m.
  • a northbound trip from Steeles Avenue East and Henderson Avenue at 2:55 p.m.

400 Brother Andre via Raymerville

Service resumes with the same schedule and route as previously on Tuesday, September 2.

18 Bur Oak

To accommodate passengers travelling to Bur Oak Secondary School, starting Tuesday, September 2, the westbound bus leaving Markham Stouffville Hospital at 7:40 a.m. Mondays to Fridays will operate along its regular route to Bur Oak and White’s Hill Avenues, then divert:

eastward along White’s Hill,
northward along the Old Markham Bypass; and then
westward along 16th Avenue to Bur Oak,
resuming its regular route, northward along Bur Oak.

To accommodate passengers travelling from Bur Oak Secondary, the eastbound bus leaving Angus Glen Community Centre at 2:50 p.m. will operate along its regular route to Bur Oak and 16th Avenues, then divert:

eastward along 16th;
southward along the Old Markham Bypass; and then
westward along White’s Hill Avenue to Bur Oak,
resuming its regular route southward along Bur Oak.

443 Cardinal Carter High School
426 Dr. G.W. Williams Secondary School

Service resumes with the same schedule and route as previously on Tuesday, September 2.

461 Emily Carr School Special

Starting Tuesday, September 2, YRT will adjust the schedule.

466 Emily Carr High School Special

To accommodate passengers living along Rutherford and Martin Grove Roads, YRT will introduce this new route on Tuesday, September 2.

404 Father McGivney via Kennedy / Warden

Service resumes with the same schedule and route as previously on Tuesday, September 2.

2A 14th Avenue

Starting Tuesday, September 2, eastbound buses will start their trips from 14th Avenue and McCowan Road at 7:10 a.m. and 7:15 a.m., travel along the regular route to Markham Stouffville Hospital, then continue eastward along Church Street to Markham District High School.

The westbound bus that currently leaves Markham Stouffville Hospital at 3 p.m. Mondays to Fridays, will instead leave Markham District High School at 3 p.m., travel eastward along Church to Ninth Line, then resume the regular route southward along Ninth.

Starting Tuesday, September 2, an eastbound bus will start its trip at 14th Avenue and McCowan Road at 2:47 p.m. Mondays to Fridays to serve passengers travelling from Father McGivney Catholic Academy. The bus will then proceed along the regular route eastward along 14th.

1 Highway 7

Starting Tuesday, September 2, the eastbound bus that leaves Richmond Hill Centre Terminal at 7 a.m. Mondays to Fridays will travel along Church Street to serve passengers headed to Markham District High School.

A bus will leave Markham District High School at 3:05 p.m. Mondays to Fridays, travel eastward along Church Street to the Markham Stouffville Hospital, then leave the hospital at 3:20 p.m. along the regular westbound route.

425 Holland Landing - Huron Heights
460 Holy Cross Academy
422 Huron Heights High School

Service resumes with the same schedule and route as previously on Tuesday, September 2.

8 Kennedy

To accommodate passengers travelling to or from Bill Crothers High School, starting Tuesday, September 2, a southbound bus will start its trip at the Angus Glen Community Centre at 7:55 a.m. Mondays to Fridays and proceed eastward along Major Mackenzie Drive to Kennedy Road, then resume the regular route southward along Kennedy.

The bus that leaves Kennedy Road and Steeles Avenue East at 3:30 p.m., Mondays to Fridays, will operate along its regular route to Major Mackenzie Drive and Kennedy Road, then continue westward along Major Mackenzie to the Angus Glen Community Centre.

424 Keswick High School Special

YRT started operating buses on this Monday-to-Friday high school route on Monday, August 25, which was the start of the school year at Keswick.

22 King City

To accommodate passengers traveling to Saint Thomas of Villanova College, starting Tuesday, September 2, one Monday-to-Friday morning bus will operate westward along 15th Sideroad beyond Seneca College King City Campus to Saint Thomas of Villanova. One bus will start its trip Monday-to-Friday afternoons at Saint Thomas and proceed eastward along 15th to Seneca College, where the bus will resume its regular route.

444 Langstaff High School
451 Langstaff High School

Service resumes with the same schedule and route as previously on Tuesday, September 2.

4A Major Mackenzie

Starting Tuesday, September 2, the eastbound bus leaving Major Mackenzie Drive and Jane Street at 7:46 a.m. will operate along its regular route to Major Mackenzie and McNaughton Road, then divert:

north- and eastward along McNaughton,
arriving at St. Joan of Arc Catholic High School at 7:59 p.m.

The bus then continues:

eastward along McNaughton; and then
southward along Keele Street to Major Mackenzie,
arriving at the stop on Keele, south of Major Mackenzie at 8 a.m.,
where the bus ends its trip.

The westbound bus that leaves Woodbine Avenue and Hillmount Road at 2:05 p.m. will operate along its regular route to Major Mackenzie Drive and Keele Street, then divert:

northward along Keele; and then westward along McNaughton Road, arriving at Saint Joan of Arc Catholic High School at 2:38 p.m.

The bus then continues:

west- and southward along McNaughton to Major Mackenzie,
resuming its regular route westward along Major Mackenzie.

YRT will also adjust the schedule of the route.

462 Maple High School Special

To accommodate passengers living near Drummond Road, starting Tuesday, September 2, YRT will slightly revise the route.

409 Markham District High School via Bur Oak
410 Markham District High School via Hollingham / Raymerville

Service resumes with the same schedule and route as previously on Tuesday, September 2.

2 Milliken

Starting Tuesday, September 2, the westbound bus that currently leaves Eastvale Drive and Steeles Avenue East at 8 a.m., Mondays to Fridays, will leave seven minutes earlier at 7:53 a.m., travel along the regular route to Denison Street and Fonda Road, then divert:

northward along Fonda;
westward along Highglen Avenue; and then
southward along Middlefield Road, passing Middlefield Collegiate Institute, to Denison,
resuming the regular route westward along Denison.

A eastbound bus will leave Middlefield Road and Highglen Avenue at 3:30 p.m. Mondays to Fridays and proceed:

southward along Middlefield, passing Middlefield Collegiate Institute, to Denison, resuming the regular route eastward along Denison.

423 Newmarket High School
420 Newmarket High School via Savage
421 Newmarket High School via Stonehaven

Service resumes with the same schedule and route as previously on Tuesday, September 2.

9 9th Line

Starting Tuesday, September 2, YRT will make minor Monday-to-Friday rush-hour schedule adjustments to accommodate other high school special services.

The southbound bus leaving Millard Street and 9th Line at 7:30 a.m. Mondays to Fridays, will travel along its regular route to Markham Stouffville Hospital, then continue westward along Church Street to Wooten Way, passing Markham District High School.

A northbound bus will leave Markham District High School at 3 p.m., travel eastward along Church Street to Markham Stouffville Hospital, then resume the regular route northward along Ninth Line.

449 Richmond Green High School Special via Hillmount

Starting Tuesday, September 2, YRT will shorten the route.

452 Richmond Green High School Special via Hazelton

On Tuesday, September 2, YRT will introduce this new route.

85 Rutherford - 16th Avenue

To accommodate passengers travelling to Brother Andre Catholic High School, starting Tuesday, September 2, YRT will divert one Monday-to-Friday morning and one afternoon bus. The buses leave Markham - Stouffville Hospital at 7:54 a.m. and 2:35 p.m., operate along their regular route to Bur Oak and White’s Hill Avenues, then divert:

eastward along White’s Hill; and then
northward along the Old Markham Bypass to 16th Avenue,
resuming their regular route westward along 16th.

448 Richmond Hill High School

Service resumes with the same schedule and route as previously on Tuesday, September 2.

427 Sacred Heart High School Special

To accommodate passengers living in the Stonehaven neighbourhood, YRT will introduce this new route on Tuesday, September 2.

Service resumes with the same schedule and route as previously on Tuesday, September 2.

440 Saint Theresa High School

Service resumes with the same schedule and route as previously on Tuesday, September 2.

446 Saint Theresa High School Special

To accommodate passengers living in the Queen Filomena subdivision travelling to and from Saint Theresa Catholic High School, starting Tuesday, September 2, YRT will revise the route.

447 Saint Theresa High School
450 Saint Theresa High School

Service resumes with the same schedule and route as previously on Tuesday, September 2.

415 Stouffville High School

414 Unionville / Bill Crothers School Special

On Tuesday, August 5, YRT introduced this new route to accommodate passengers living in the Town of Whitchurch — Stouffville who wish to travel to and from Bill Crothers Secondary School and Unionville High School.

463 Vellore School Special

Starting Tuesday, September 2, YRT will adjust the schedule.

11 Woodbridge

Starting Tuesday, September 2, YRT will adjust the schedule to match the end of the school day at Woodbridge College. The Monday-to-Friday northbound bus that currently leaves Islington Avenue and Highway 7 at 3:50 p.m. will arrive 15 minutes earlier at 3:35 p.m. YRT will also adjust the times of two northbound and two southbound buses in the early afternoon rush hour period to accommodate Woodbridge College passengers.


Rename current routes

303 Bur Oak Express
303 Cornell Express

Starting Tuesday September 2, YRT will rename the 303 Cornell Express route the 303 Bur Oak Express route. The new name more accurately describes the route.

413 Saint Robert / Thornlea Special
413 Saint Robert High School Special via Green Lane

Starting Tuesday September 2, YRT will extend the former 413 Saint Robert High School Special via Green Lane route and rename it 413 Saint Robert / Thornlea Special.


Renumber a current route

89 Richmond Hill Community Bus
589 Richmond Hill Community Bus

Starting Tuesday September 2, YRT will use the number 589 instead of 89 for the Richmond Hill Community Bus. YRT has assigned the “500” series of numbers to all community bus routes - 520 / 521 Newmarket Community Bus and 522 Markham Community Bus.


Adjust the schedules of current routes

54 Bayview North

Starting Tuesday, September 2, YRT will adjust the schedules for Monday-to-Friday morning rush hours.

18 Bur Oak

Starting Tuesday September 2, the westbound bus that currently leaves Markham Stouffville Hospital at 7:47 a.m. leaves two minutes earlier at 7:45 a.m.

461 Emily Carr School Special

YRT will adjust the schedule so that the bus leaves Islington and Wycliffe Avenues five minutes earlier than last year at 7:30 a.m., Mondays to Fridays. The bus arrives at Emily Carr Secondary School at 7:55 a.m. Every Monday-to-Friday afternoon, the bus leaves Emily Carr at 2:37 p.m., two minutes later than last year.

4/4A Major Mackenzie

Starting Tuesday, September 2, the Monday-to-Friday westbound 5:37 p.m. bus that leaves Woodbine Avenue and Hillmount Road and that arrives at Canada’s Wonderland at 6:21 p.m. will only drop off passengers at the Canada’s Wonderland bus stop. This trip goes out of service at Major Mackenzie Drive and Jane Street.

YRT will also make minor weekday schedule changes to improve service at Major Mackenzie and Jane. It will also start operating buses along the 4A branch between Mount Joy GO Station and Weston Road every 60 minutes from about 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Mondays to Fridays.

15 Stouffville Local

Starting Tuesday, September 2, YRT will make minor Monday-to-Friday rush-hour adjustments to the schedule to accommodate buses operating on the 414 Unionville - Bill Crothers School Special and 415 Stouffville High School high special routes in Stouffville.

40 Unionville Local

Starting Tuesday, September 2, the eastbound bus that currently leaves Woodbine Avenue and Rodick Road at 2:40 p.m. Mondays to Fridays leaves five minutes later at 2:45 p.m.

463 Vellore School Special

Starting Tuesday, September 2, the bus leaves Vaughan Mills Terminal seven minutes later than previously, at 7:32 a.m. Mondays to Fridays. The bus arrives at Emily Carr Secondary School at 7:55 a.m.


Transit agencies often interline two or more routes that share a common terminal to share resources (drivers and vehicles.)

In this case a southbound bus operating on the 53 Woodspring - Clearmeadow route will end its trip at Yonge Street and Mulock Drive, then continue as an eastbound bus operating on the 57A Mulock route.
