The City of Toronto will close the westbound lanes of the Frederick G. Gardiner Expressway every evening this week after 10 p.m. from Carlaw Avenue to the Humber River.
Starting tonight, Monday, September 15, the City will close the expressway lanes until 5 a.m. the next day to grind the uneven pavement.
While the expressway is closed, GO Transit will detour bus service.
65 Barrie
After 10 p.m. on September 15, 16, 17 and 18, eastbound buses operate along their regular route to the Don Valley Parkway and Lake Shore Boulevard East, then detour:
westward along Lake Shore;
southward along Yonge Street;
westward along Queens Quay West; and then
northward along Bay Street to the Union Station GO Bus Terminal,
ending their trips.Eastbound buses operate along their regular route.
31 Georgetown

After 10 p.m. on September 15, 16, 17 and 18, westbound buses start their trips at the Union Station GO Bus Terminal, as usual, then proceed:
southward along Yonge Street; and then
westward along Lake Shore Boulevard West to the Humber River,
resuming their regular routes westward along the Gardiner Expressway.
09 Lakeshore East
After 10 p.m. on September 15, 16, 17 and 18, eastbound buses operate along their regular route to the Don Valley Parkway and Lake Shore Boulevard East, then detour:
westward along Lake Shore;
southward along Yonge Street;
westward along Queens Quay West; and then
northward along Bay Street to the Union Station GO Bus Terminal,

The City will also be closing the Gardiner in both directions this weekend.
