TTC revises bus routes
during St. Clair Station construction

The TTC started a project to rebuild the lower-level bus terminal at St. Clair Station last Monday, September 28. The project requires the TTC to completely close the platform on Pleasant Boulevard and to reroute buses to the upper-level (streetcar) terminal on St. Clair Avenue East.

Passengers can still enter or leave the subway station from or onto Pleasant Boulevard, but have to climb to the upper level for bus service.

The construction affects these routes: 74 Mount Pleasant; 88 South Leaside; 97 Yonge.

74 Mount Pleasant
88 South Leaside

Westbound buses operate along their regular route to St. Clair Avenue East and Avoca Avenue, then detour:

westward along St. Clair to the upper-level terminal at St. Clair Station.

Eastbound buses reverse this routing.

97 Yonge

During the construction, the TTC has canceled the 97C and 97D branches that usually serve Yonge Street between Davisville and St. Clair Stations from about 9:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. Mondays to Fridays. Buses operating on all branches of the route start or end their trips at Davisville Station from about 9:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. Mondays to Fridays.

During Monday-to-Friday rush hours, buses operating on the 97B branch continue to operate on their regular route along Yonge Street between Steeles Avenue and Front Street and do not enter St. Clair Station terminal.

The construction project in the lower-level terminal will likely continue until December.
