Modernizing Dufferin Station:
open house, October 22

Late next year, the TTC will begin a 2½-year project to modernize Dufferin Station on the 2 Bloor - Danforth subway line.

You can drop by an open house to ask TTC staff questions and learn about the project on Wednesday, October 22 from 4 until 7 p.m. The open house takes place at:

Saint Wenceslas Church,
496 Gladstone Avenue,
One block east of Dufferin Street at Bloor Street.

(From Dufferin Station, walk one block east along Bloor Street, then turn south on Gladstone Avenue. The entrance is on the west side of the street.)

The TTC wants to improve the station by:

  • fully upgrading and modernizing station finishes;
  • integrating public art into the station;
  • enlarging the main entrance and bus waiting area;
  • installing new sidewalk canopies on both sides of Dufferin Street;
  • building new second exits from the platform level onto Russett Avenue (one block west of the station); and
  • installing new elevators to provide access from the street to the platform through the main entrance.
