Sports events in Guelph and Hamilton affect transit services tomorrow, Friday, October 24.


The events affect these routes:

Guelph TransitGuelph Storm service (all routes).

Hamilton Street RailwayTicket to Ride (all routes), Tiger-Cats Express.


The events affecting transit are: Canadian Football League action; and Ontario Hockey League action.


Guelph

Ontario Hockey League action

You can ride any Guelph Transit bus for free on Friday, October 24 to the Guelph Storm game against the Owen Sound Attack at 7:30 p.m. — if you have a valid ticket to the game. You can ride free of fare to and from the Sleeman Centre on Friday evening by simply showing the Guelph Transit driver your game ticket.


Hamilton

You can ride any HSR bus for free on Friday, October 24 to the Hamilton Tiger-Cats last home game of the season against the Calgary Stampeders at 7:30 p.m. — if you have a valid ticket to the game. With the HSR’s Ticket to Ride program, you can ride free of fare to Ivor Wynne Stadium for as long as three hours before game time and free of fare from the stadium until the end of service by simply showing the HSR driver your game ticket.

Tiger-Cats Express

Four free shuttles will also speedily transport ticket-holders from four terminals across the city to the stadium and back again after the game is over. The shuttles operate from Limeridge Mall, Eastgate Square, University Plaza and downtown Hamilton. You can read the schedule for Friday evening’s shuttle service here. (.pdf)

You can also ride D.A.R.T.S (Disabled and Aged Regional Transportation System) buses free if you hold a valid ticket to the game.
