The long series of construction projects in the Bay Ridges area has ended and Durham Region Transit buses finally resumed their regular routes today.

Buses operating on the 165 Bay Ridges / West Shore route, the 181 Bay Ridges / West Shore / Rosebank / Finch / Highway 2 route and Flag Bus 3 have detoured since October 14.

The City of Pickering closed Douglas Drive between Chapleau Drive and Browning Avenue from Monday, January 28 until Tuesday, February 19 and from Monday, June 2 until Friday, August 29 to install sanitary sewers. It also closed Front Road between Browning and Pleasant Street from Monday, January 28 until Tuesday, February 19 and from Friday, July 18 until Thursday, September 18 also to install sanitary sewers. On Tuesday, October 14, it also closed Saint Martin’s Drive between Bayly Street and Wayfarers Lane to rebuild the roadway.
