Starting Monday, December 1, GO Transit will revise its schedules for buses and trains serving the Georgetown corridor. The changes accommodate construction along the tracks between Georgetown GO and Union Stations.
The changes affect these routes: 31 Georgetown (train); 31 Guelph / Georgetown - Union (bus); 33 Guelph / Georgetown - York Mills; 37 Orangeville; 38 Bolton.

The eastbound train that currently leaves Bramalea GO Station at 9:05 a.m. Mondays to Fridays, leaves fifteen minutes later at 9:20 a.m. The train arrives at Union Station at 9:53 a.m. instead of 9:38 a.m.
The eastbound train that currently leaves Bramalea at 10:15 a.m. Mondays to Fridays, leaves ten minutes later at 10:25 a.m. The train arrives at Union at 10:58 a.m. instead of 10:48 a.m.
The westbound train that currently leaves Union Station at 9:30 a.m. Mondays to Fridays, leaves ten minutes later at 9:40 a.m. The train arrives at Bramalea GO Station at 10:14 a.m. instead of 10:04 a.m.
The westbound train that currently leaves Union at 3:10 p.m. Mondays to Fridays, leaves 25 minutes earlier at 2:45 p.m. The train arrives at Bramalea at 3:19 p.m. instead of 3:44 p.m. It arrives at Brampton GO Station at 3:27 p.m. instead of 3:52 p.m.

Starting Monday, December 1, the eastbound bus that currently leaves Main Street South at Wesleyan Street in downtown Georgetown at 7:48 a.m. Mondays to Fridays, leaves 15 minutes later at 8:03 a.m. The bus arrives at Bramalea GO Station at 9:01 a.m. instead of 8:46 a.m. Passengers traveling toward Union Station can connect with the train that leaves Bramalea at 9:20 a.m.
The eastbound bus that currently leaves the Downtown Brampton Transit Terminal at 8:30 a.m. Mondays to Fridays, leaves 15 minutes later at 8:45 a.m. The bus arrives at Bramalea GO Station at 9:06 a.m. instead of 8:46 a.m. Passengers traveling toward Union Station can connect with the train that leaves Bramalea at 9:20 a.m.

The westbound bus that currently leaves Bramalea at 10:10 a.m. Mondays to Fridays, leaves ten minutes later at 10:20 a.m. (The bus waits at Bramalea for passengers arriving on the 10:14 a.m. train.) The bus arrives at Main and Wesleyan in Georgetown at 11:15 a.m. instead of 11:05 a.m.

The northbound bus that currently leaves Bramalea GO Station at 10:10 a.m. Mondays to Fridays, leaves 10 minutes later at 10:20 a.m. (The bus waits at Bramalea for passengers arriving on the 10:14 a.m. train.) The bus arrives at Orangeville Park and Ride at 11:31 a.m. instead of 11:21 a.m.
The northbound bus that currently leaves the Downtown Brampton Transit Terminal at 4 p.m. Mondays to Fridays leaves 25 minutes earlier at 3:35 p.m. (The bus waits for passengers arriving at Brampton GO Station on the 3:27 p.m. train.) The bus arrives at Orangeville Park and Ride at 4:30 p.m. instead of 4:55 p.m.

The southbound bus that currently leaves Columbia Way and Queen Street North in Bolton at 8:15 a.m. Mondays to Fridays leaves ten minutes later at 8:25 a.m. It arrives at Malton GO Station at 9:10 a.m. instead of 9:05 a.m. Passengers traveling toward Union can connect with the train that leaves Malton at 9:25 a.m.
The southbound bus that currently leaves Bolton at 9:35 a.m. Mondays to Fridays, leaves ten minutes later at 9:45 a.m. It arrives at Malton at 10:20 a.m. instead of 10:10 a.m. Passengers traveling toward Union can connect with the train that leaves Malton at 10:30 a.m.
The northbound bus that currently leaves Malton at 10:03 a.m. Mondays to Fridays leaves ten minutes later at 10:13 a.m. (The bus waits for passengers arriving at Malton on the 10:08 a.m. train.) It arrives in Bolton at 10:45 a.m. instead of 10:35 a.m.
The northbound bus that currently leaves Malton at 3:58 p.m. Mondays to Fridays leaves 40 minutes earlier at 3:18 p.m. (The bus waits for passengers arriving at Malton on the 3:13 p.m. train.) It arrives in Bolton at 3:55 p.m. instead of 4:20 p.m.
Also in December, GO starts a project to separate the CP freight line from the CN line along the Georgetown route. (GO trains travel along the CN tracks.) Once GO has completed this long-term project, it will be able to schedule more frequent and faster service along the line. It plans to complete the first phase of the project by mid-2010.
