Revitalizing Queens Quay:
Public meeting, December 8

The Toronto Transit Commission, WATERFRONToronto and the City of Toronto intend to revitalize Queens Quay between Lower Spadina Avenue and Lower Jarvis Street.

They plan to turn Queens Quay into a scenic waterfront drive and finish the Martin Goodman Trail through the central waterfront. They also want redesign the transit service. They’re looking at a number of transit issues, including how the streetcar tracks relate to the current and proposed street designs, where and how to build future streetcar tracks along Queens Quay East and where to build the portals that let streetcars enter or leave the Bay Street tunnel.

The project team has developed various designs for the street and will present them at a public consultation meeting on December 8. WATERFRONToronto is hosting this second public forum about the project, as part of the formal environmental assessment process.

At the meeting you can review the proposed designs and comment on the plans:

Monday, December 8
Harbourfront Community Centre,
627 Queens Quay West (at Bathurst)

Open House: 6 p.m.
Presentation and facilitated discussion: 7 p.m.
