today to accommodate the City’s annual year-end event.
Brampton Transit and GO Transit are detouring bus service this afternoon and evening during the event.
Brampton TransitAll buses operate to Brampton GO Station on Church Street West instead of the Downtown Brampton Transit Terminal at Nelson Street West and George Street North. It’s also operating special shuttle buses to carry passengers from four areas of the City to downtown Brampton to enjoy the festivities. Service is free on all Brampton Transit routes after 7:30 p.m. and many routes operate later.

Citytv’s New Year’s Eve Bash501 QueenTransit Toronto readers reported that the City of Toronto closed parts of Queen Street West on the evening of New Year’s Eve, Wednesday, December 31 and early in the morning of New Year’s Day, Thursday, January 1 to accommodate the event.
The TTC detoured streetcars during the event.
Eastbound cars operated along their regular route to Queen Street West and Spadina Avenue, then detoured:
southward along Spadina;
eastward along King Streets West and East; and then
northward along Church Street to Queen Street East,
