Extending the Yonge subway:
Find out more, January 20

You can learn more about the project to extend the Yonge Street branch of the TTC’s 1 Yonge - University - Spadina subway northward to Richmond Hill on Tuesday, January 20.

The Region of York, the City of Toronto and the TTC are hosting a public information meeting on the project in the Yonge Street and Eglinton Avenue West area.

Toronto City Council will consider a report on the project at its meeting starting on Tuesday, January 27. If Council approves the report, it will support extending the subway 6.8 km north to the area of Yonge Street and Highway 7 and adding six more stations to the line.

The meeting takes place:

Tuesday, January 20,
Multi-Purpose Room,
North Toronto Memorial Community Centre,
200 Eglinton Avenue West.

(on the north side of Eglinton between Oriole Parkway and Yonge).

Open house: 5 until 7 p.m.
Presentation: 7 until 8:30 p.m.
