Streetcar diversions at Dundas and Bloor today

Update: 5:38 p.m. — Readers report that the intersection is clear and that regular service has resumed.

Update: 3:04 p.m. — Readers report that 504 King cars are now short-turning at Queen Street West and Roncesvalles Avenue. Shuttle buses operate between Queen and Dundas West Station.

Transit Toronto readers have advised us of a detour affecting transit services through the intersection of Dundas and Bloor Streets West, where a hydro pole has fallen and is blocking the intersection.

Until the intersection is clear, the TTC is detouring streetcars on the 504 King and 505 Dundas streetcar routes. Streetcars are not entering the loop at Dundas West Station.

505 Dundas

South- and eastbound cars start their trips at the High Park Loop (west of Parkside Drive and Howard Park Avenue), then proceed:

eastward along Howard Park to Dundas Street West,
resuming their regular route eastward along Dundas.

North- and westbound cars reverse the routing.

504 King

South- and eastbound cars start their trips at Lansdowne Avenue and College Street, then proceed:

westward along College, Dundas Street West and Howard Park Avenue to Roncesvalles Avenue,
resuming their regular route southward along Roncesvalles.

West- and northbound cars operate along their regular route to Roncesvalles and Howard Park Avenues, then detour:

eastward along Howard Park and Dundas Street West; and then
northward along Lansdowne Avenue to College Street,
ending their trips.
