Mississauga Transit offers passengers more frequent weekend service along Hurontario Street and makes other changes to its routes and services, starting Monday, January 26. It also raises fares on the same day.
Specifically, MT will: increase the frequency of service along current routes; decrease the frequency of service along current routes; increase service along current routes; revise current routes; relocate a stop for buses operating along a current route; and adjust the schedules of buses operating along current routes.
The changes affect these routes: 5 Dixie; 13 Glen Erin; 19 Hurontario; 23 Lakeshore; 26 Burnhamthorpe; 35A Eglinton - Tenth Line; 45 Winston Churchill; 48 Erin Mills; 49 McDowell; 65 Barondale; 66 McLaughlin; 301 Philip Pocock - Tomken; 302 Philip Pocock - Bloor.
Increase the frequency of service along current routes
19 Hurontario66 McLaughlinStarting Saturday, January 31, MT increases the frequency of service for passengers wanting to travel along the route Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. It increases the frequency of service from every nine minutes to every eight minutes from about 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Saturdays. Starting Sunday, February 1, it increases the frequency of service from every 18 minutes to every 14 minutes from about 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Sundays and holidays.
Starting Monday, January 26, MT increases the frequency of service for passengers wanting to travel along the route every day. It increases the frequency from every 22 minutes to every 18 minutes during Monday-to-Friday rush hours. It increases the frequency from every 27 minutes to every 20 minutes during Monday-to-Friday middays (from about 9:30 a.m. until 3 p.m.). It increases the frequency from every 38 minutes to every 28 minutes during Monday-to-Friday evenings after 7 p.m.
Starting Saturday, January 31, MT increases the frequency from every 38 minutes to every 30 minutes Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
Decrease the frequency of service along current routes

35A Eglinton - Tenth LineStarting Monday, January 26, MT operates an eastbound bus along a new trip leaving Erin Centre and Winston Churchill Boulevards at 5:33 a.m., Mondays to Fridays. It also operates a westbound bus along a new trip leaving Eglinton Avenue West and Winston Churchill Boulevard at 5:21 a.m., Mondays to Fridays.
Revise current routes
301 Philip Pocock - Tomken 302 Philip Pocock - Bloor45 Winston ChurchillStarting Monday, January 26, buses start their trips on the west side of Tomken Road, across from Philip Pocock Secondary School. Buses operate southward along Tomken to Eastgate Parkway, then resume their current routes southward along Tomken. Buses no longer operate along Eglinton Avenue East, Dixie Road or Eastgate Parkway.
Starting Monday, January 26, MT makes the detour through Winston Park the permanent route. The detour started on Thursday, January 8.

49 McDowellStarting Monday, January 26, the westbound bus that currently leaves Long Branch GO Station at 9:52 a.m. Mondays to Fridays leaves 2 minutes later at 9:54 a.m. to help passengers connect with GO Transit’s 01 Lakeshore West trains at Port Credit GO Station.
