University subway shut down between St. George and Union Stations (Updated)



Update: 3:43 p.m. — Readers are reporting that service is being resumed, with trains bypassing Osgoode station. Reports from the Toronto Police Service indicate that this will continue for another hour.

Those needing to get to Osgoode are advised to disembark at St. Andrew station instead.

The TTC’s e-alerts and various riders have reported that the TTC has shut down the 1 Yonge - University - Spadina subway between St. George and Union Stations because the Toronto Police Service is investigating an incident at Osgoode Station.

Shuttle buses are operating to replace subway service.
