Buses travel into York University earlier each day,
starting January 29

Update — January 28, 7:23 p.m.: TTC buses will also operate into the Keele Campus after 5:30 p.m. Mondays to Fridays, starting tomorrow, Thursday, January 29.

Premier Dalton McGuinty has recalled the Ontario Legislature to debate back-to-work legislation and end the long-standing strike by teaching staff at York University. Since the legislature will likely pass the legislation into law later this week, GO Transit and York Region Transit buses travel into the Keele Campus earlier each day, starting this Thursday, January 29.

On Thursday, GO and YRT buses again serve the York Commons loop on campus after 5:30 p.m. Mondays to Fridays and all day Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

GO and YRT buses continue to serve temporary stops along Steeles Avenue West between Founders Road and Keele Street before 5:30 p.m. Mondays to Fridays instead of traveling into the campus. (The buses currently only enter the campus after 7 p.m. Mondays to Fridays and all day Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.)

Brampton Transit and the TTC have not yet announced whether their buses will return to the Keele Campus after 5:30 p.m. Mondays to Fridays.

When classes resume — possibly as early as Monday, February 2 — the transit agencies will likely resume their regular routes into the campus at all times.
