Transit systems in Barrie, Burlington, Milton, Oakville and Toronto are making it easier for high school kids to get around, while they’re enjoying their break from school next week.
Barrie
Next week, high school students can use their Power Passes all day long when they ride Barrie Transit buses, instead of only after school hours or on Saturdays and Sundays.
The pass costs $24 each month.
You can find out more about the Power Pass here.
Burlington and Oakville
Again this year, kids in Burlington and Oakville can use their Freedom Passes all day during the break.
Both Burlington Transit and Oakville Transit offer students Freedom Passes. The passes usually allow students between the ages of 6 and 18 to travel on any Burlington or Oakville Transit buses after 5 p.m. Mondays to Fridays and all day on weekends and holidays. Next week, you can use your Freedom Pass all day and all week. (In Burlington, the pass costs $20 a month. In Oakville, you can buy a Freedom Pass for just $10 a month.)
You can find out about Burlington Transit Freedom Passes here and here.

Milton
From March 16 to 20, Milton Transit is offering a two-for-one deal for students between the ages of 6 and 18. Two students showing student identification pay the price of one fare. The deal is valid with a bus ticket, monthly pass or cash fare.
Toronto
In Toronto, you can buy a special Day / Family Pass that you can use every day of the March break to travel with a group anywhere that the TTC can take you within the City of Toronto.
You can use each pass for one day only for a group of as many as six people — a maximum of two adults with no more than four children or youths younger than 19.
You can use the Family Pass any day from March 16 until March 20. Day / Family Passes are also available on Saturday and Sunday, as they are throughout the year.
You can find out more about the TTC’s regular Day / Family Pass here.
