Mississauga Transit revises service March 23



Mississauga Transit will end service along two of its routes and make other changes to its service, starting Monday, March 23.


Specifically, Mississauga Transit will: cancel current routes; adjust the schedules of current routes.


The changes affect these routes: 3 Bloor; 9 Rathburn - Miller’s Grove; 15B Drew - Cardiff; 16 Malton Loop; 28 Confederation; 60 Meadowvale Shuttle - Crosscurrent; 109 Meadowvale Express; 311 John Cabot - Square One.


Cancel current routes

15B Drew - Cardiff

Friday, March 20 is the last day that buses operate along this Monday-Friday midday branch of the main 15 Drew route since few passengers were traveling on buses serving the route. Starting Monday, March 23, MT operates buses along the 15 Drew route only during Monday-to-Friday rush hours.

60 Meadowvale Shuttle - Crosscurrent

Friday, March 20 is the last day that buses operate along this Monday-Friday rush hour route. The opening of GO Transit’s Lisgar Station reduced the number of passengers traveling on buses serving this route.

Adjust schedules of current routes

3 Bloor

Starting Monday, March 23, MT adjusts the schedule of westbound buses operating along the route during the midday Mondays to Fridays. Buses leave Islington Station at the same times a currently at 9:07, 9:15, 9:22, 9:30, 9:56, 10:15, 10:34, 10:53, 11:12, 11:31, 11:50 a.m. and 12:09, 12:29, 12:47, 1:05 and 1:25 p.m., but they arrive at most stops along the route between one and three minutes earlier than currently. The buses arrive at the City Center Terminal at Square One at 9:48, 9:55, 10:02, 10:10, 10:18, 10:36, 10:55, 11:14, 11:33 and 11:52 a.m. and 12:11, 12:30, 12:49, 1:08, 1:27, 1:46 and 2:06 p.m.

28 Confederation

Starting Monday, March 23, the bus that currently leaves the City Centre Terminal at Square One at 11:57 a.m. Mondays to Fridays leaves seven minutes later at 12:04 p.m. The change helps passengers transferring from the bus operating along the 7 Airport route that arrives at the terminal at 11:56 a.m.

311 John Cabot - Square One

Starting Monday, March 23, the bus the previously left the City Centre Terminal at Square One at 8:02 a.m. Mondays to Fridays leaves 19 minutes earlier at 7:43 a.m.

16 Malton Loop

Starting Monday, March 23, the bus that currently leaves Westwood Terminal at 11 a.m. Mondays to Fridays leaves 12 minutes later at 11:12 a.m. The change helps passengers transferring from the bus operating along the 7 Airport route that arrives at the terminal at 11:11 a.m.

109 Meadowvale Express

Starting Monday, March 23, MT adjusts the schedule of the northbound buses that leave Islington Station during Monday-to-Friday afternoon rush hours. Buses leave Islington Station at the same time as currently at 3:05, 3:21, 3:37, 3:57, 4:09, 4:25, 4:41, 4:57, 5:13, 5:30 and 5:45 p.m. but arrive at Meadowvale Town Centre Terminal one to ten minutes later than currently at 3:59, 4:22, 4:40, 5:04, 5:16, 5:32, 5:48, 6:01, 6:15, 6:31 and 6:44 p.m. The bus that currently leaves Islington Station at 6:17 p.m. arrives at Meadowvale two minutes earlier than currently at 7:10 p.m. All other buses operating during afternoon rush hours arrive at Meadowvale at the same time as currently.

9 Rathburn - Miller’s Grove

Starting Monday, March 23, the bus that currently leaves the City Centre Terminal at Square One at 12:31 p.m. Mondays to Fridays leaves three minutes later at 12:34 p.m. The change helps passengers transferring to or from the bus operating along the 3 Bloor route that arrives at the terminal at 12:30 p.m. and leaves at 12:37 p.m.
