More parking at Unionville GO Station

Unionville GO Station has 300 more parking spaces for commuters today.

GO Transit recently finished building a new parking lot to increase the number of spaces by 25 per cent. GO officially opened the new spaces today. Unionville now has parking for as many as 1,500 vehicles.

The new spaces are just east of the station’s previous parking lot on the other side of YMCA Boulevard. Commuters can reach the new lot from YMCA Boulevard, off Kennedy Road.

This is the first phase of GO’s project to add more parking at Unionville. Phase two will add another 300 spaces this fall. On February 17, Prime Minister Stephen Harper and Premier Dalton McGuinty announced that GO would add more parking at Unionville Station and also start work on several other infrastructure projects in the Greater Toronto Area and Hamilton.
