Highway 409 construction diverts GO buses in Rexdale

The Ontario Ministry of Transportation’s ongoing project to upgrade Highway 409 between Highways 401 and 427 has resulted in the Ministry recently closing the ramp from southbound Kipling Avenue to eastbound Highway 409.

GO Transit is detouring buses until December, when the Ministry will likely re-open the ramp.

38 Bolton
35 Brampton Local via Highway 27

From April until December 2009, eastbound buses operate along their regular route to Belfield and Shaft Roads (just east of the access road to and from Etobicoke North GO Station), then detour:

southward along Shaft;
east- and northward along Ronson Drive; and then
northbound along Kipling Avenue and the ramp onto Highway 409,
resuming their regular route eastward along Highway 409.

Westbound buses reverse this routing.
