Weekend events affect transit service, April 11 and 12



Easter Parades in Pickering and Toronto affect transit services this weekend.


The events affect these routes:

Durham Region Transit101B Industrial; 165 Bay Ridges / West Shore; Flag Bus 3; 915 Taunton.

TTC64 Main; 92 Woodbine South; 501 Queen.


Pickering


Pickering Easter Parade

The City of Pickering is closing a number of streets in Bay Ridges on Saturday, including

  • Annland Street between Liverpool Road South and Krosno Boulevard,
  • Bayly Street, eastbound lanes, between Krosno Boulevard and Alliance Road;
  • Krosno Boulevard between Annland and Bayly Streets and
  • Liverpool Road South between Annland Street and Millennium Square

on Saturday morning to accommodate the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 606’s annual parade

DRT is detouring bus service during the event.

165 Bay Ridges / West Shore

From 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, buses leave Pickering GO Station, then proceed:

westward along Bayly Street; and then
southward along Liverpool Road South to Radom Street,
resuming their regular route westward along Radom.

Flag Bus 3

Until about 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, buses operate along their regular route to Liverpool Road South and Krosno Boulevard, then proceed:

eastward along Krosno to the Krosno Plaza; then
loop through the plaza; and then
westward along Krosno to Liverpool,
resuming their regular route northward along Liverpool.

From about 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, eastbound passengers should expect delays as buses travel along Bayly Street between Krosno Boulevard and Alliance Road.

Beaches Lions Club Easter Parade

The City of Toronto is closing

  • Lake Shore Boulevard East between Woodbine and Coxwell Avenues,
  • Queen Street East between Victoria Park and Woodbine Avenues and
  • Woodbine Avenue between Queen Street East and Lake Shore Boulevard East

on Sunday to accommodate the annual parade.

TTC is detouring transit service during the event.

64 Main

From 10 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 12, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Southwood Drive and Glen Stewart, then detour:

west- and northward along Glen Stewart Crescent to Kingston Road, ending their trips.

Northbound buses start their trips on Glen Stewart Crescent at Kingston Road, then proceed:

eastward along Kingston to Main Street / Southwood Drive,
resuming their regular route northward along Main.

501 Queen

From 10 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 12, all streetcars start and end their trips in the loop at Kingston Road and Queen Street East.

92 Woodbine

From 10 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 12, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Woodbine Avenue and Kingston Road, then detour:

southwestward along Kingston Road and Eastern Avenue to Coxwell Avenue,
ending their trips.

Northbound buses start their trips on Eastern Avenue at Coxwell Avenue, then proceed:

northward along Coxwell Avenue;
eastward along Queen Street East; and then
northeastward along Kingston Road to Woodbine Avenue,
resuming their regular route northward along Woodbine.
