Brampton Transit buses detour off Kennedy Road today

The City of Brampton is closing Kennedy Road between First Gulf Boulevard and the south city limits (north of Derry Road West) today as part of its ongoing project to rebuild the roadway.

Brampton Transit is detouring buses operating on the 7/7A Kennedy route while the road is closed.

From 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Thursday, April 23, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Kennedy Road and Steeles Avenue East, then proceed:

westward along Kennedy;
southward along Hurontario Street;
eastward along Derry Road East; and then
southward along Kennedy Road to Courtneypark Drive East.

Northbound buses start their trips at Kennedy Road and Courtneypark Drive East, as usual, then proceed:

westward along Courtneypark;
northward along Hurontario Street; and then
eastward along Steeles Avenue East to Kennedy,
resuming their regular route northward along Kennedy.
