Transit an Issue on TVO's The Agenda, Tonight

Steve Paikin will be talking about the issue of public transportation in the Greater Toronto Area as part of a segment on TVOntario’s “The Agenda”.

The show will feature an interview with Portland Transportation Manager Fred Hansen, who will talk about what the Oregon city can teach Toronto about transportation and liveability. There will also be a panel discussion featuring Steve Munro, a long time advocate for improved public transportation in Toronto, Yvonne Bambrick, an executive director of the Toronto Cyclists Union, David Booth, a senior writer for the weekly Driving section at the National Post, Jeff Casello, an assistant professor in the School of Planning and the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Waterloo and Dylan Reed, an associate editor of Spacing magazine, and co-chair of the Toronto Pedestrian Committee.

The show will air tonight at 8:00 p.m.

I was privileged to be asked to write a post about my opinions on the subject for The Agenda Blogs. You can see my post here and you are invited to comment.

Be sure to tune in at 8:00 p.m. to hear what Paikin and Hansen have to say.
