Expanding the Georgetown South rail corridor:
More open houses, June 8, 9, 10, 16, 17, 18

Metrolinx is hosting another series of open houses on its proposals to expand the Georgetown South GO Transit rail corridor and to build a rail link between Toronto Pearson International Airport and Union Station.

It’s also releasing its second draft environmental assessment project report. On April 2, it released the first draft of the report, which described the project and provided a map of current environmental conditions. This second draft report outlines the impact of the preferred project on natural and human-made environments, economy and society. It also proposes how to reduce or eliminate those impacts.

You can read the second draft report here (note: this is a 430 MB .pdf document!) and attend one of the open houses to find out more information and offer your feedback. Metrolinx and GO Transit staff will be available to answer your questions and receive your ideas and comments. After Thursday, July 30, staff will use your input and the input they receive from other government agencies and First Nations groups to develop the final environmental project report.
