Two construction projects detour Oakville Transit buses,
starting July 6



Update — October 14: Regular service along the 11 Linbrook route resumed yesterday, Tuesday, October 13.


Update — September 5: Regular service along the 15 Bridge route resumes on Tuesday, September 8.


Starting Monday, July 6, Oakville Transit is detouring buses operating on the 11 Linbrook and 15 Bridge routes during two construction projects.

15 Bridge

The Town of Oakville is completely closing Shepherd Road for a project to rehabilitate the bridge across Speers Road. Oakville Transit is detouring buses during the project.

From Monday, July 6 until Friday, August 31, inbound buses operate along their regular route to Stewart Street and Queen Mary Drive, then detour:

southward along Queen Mary;
westward along Washington Avenue; and then
northward along Kerr Street to Speers Road,
resuming their regular route eastward along Speers.

Outbound buses operate along their regular route to Speers Road and Kerr Street, then detour:

southward along Speers;
eastward along Stewart Street;
westward along Washington Avenue; and then
northward along Kerr Street to Stewart Street,
resuming their regular route westward along Stewart.

11 Linbrook

The Town of Oakville is completely closing Linbrook Road for a project to rebuild the roadway.

From Monday, July 6 until Tuesday, October 6, inbound buses operate along their regular route to Morrison and Linbrook Roads, then detour:

northward along Morrison;
westward along Cornwall Road;
southward along Chartwell Road to Linbrook Road / Maple Avenue,
resuming their regular route westward along Maple.

Outbound buses reverse this routing.


Inbound buses operate toward Oakville GO Station.

Outbound buses operate away from Oakville GO Station.
