GO detours buses during Uxbridge construction,
starting tomorrow

The Region of Durham is closing Brock Street (Regional Road 8), just west of downtown Uxbridge, starting tomorrow, Monday, July 6 for a project to rebuild the roadway. The Region is closing the street in stages until November 1.

GO Transit is detouring buses during the project.

71 Uxbridge - Stouffville - Union

From Monday, July 6 until Thursday, November 1, southbound buses start their trips in the parking lot of the Uxbridge Arena at Brock Street West and Centre Road, then proceed:

southward along Centre Road;
eastward along Brock Street West;
northeastward along Railway Street; and then
westward along King Street to Toronto Street North,
resuming their regular route southward along Toronto North.

Northbound buses operate along their regular route to Railway and Spruce Streets, then detour:

southwestward along Railway;
westward along Brock Street West; and then
northward into the Uxbridge Arena parking lot, ending their trips.
