Richmond Hill construction detours YRT buses,
starting today

This week, the Town of Richmond Hill is closing

  • Centre Street East between Newkirk Road and Pugsley Avenue and
  • Crosby Avenue between Newkirk Road and Pugsley Avenue

during a Town project to improve the railway crossings on those streets.

York Region Transit is detouring bus service during the project.

240 Mill Pond GO Shuttle

Monday-to-Friday mornings, from Monday, July 13 until Friday, July 17, eastbound buses operate along their regular route to Wright and Yonge Streets, then detour:

southward along Yonge;
eastward along Major Mackenzie Drive East; and then
northward along Newkirk Road to Richmond Hill GO Station,
ending their trips.

Monday-to-Friday afternoons, westbound buses start their trips at Richmond Hill GO Station, then detour:

southward along Newkirk Road;
westward along Major Mackenzie Drive East; and then
northward along Pugsley Avenue to Centre Street East,
resuming their regular route westward along Centre East.

83A Trench

From Monday, July 13 until Saturday, July 18, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Crosby Avenue and Newkirk Road, then detour:

resuming their regular route either northward along Pugsley — if the bus is operating to Richmond Heights Plaza — or westward along Dunlop — if the bus is skipping the stop at the Plaza.

Northbound buses operate along their regular routes to Dunlop Street and Pugsley Avenue, then detour:

northward along Pugsley;
westward along Crosby Avenue;
northward along Yonge Street, passing Richmond Heights Plaza;
