YRT detours buses in Newmarket, starting today



The management of Upper Canada Mall in Newmarket are repaving the Upper Canada Mall Ring Road, starting today, Tuesday, July 21.

York Region Transit is detouring buses operating along the 44 Bristol - London and 52 Holland Landing routes while the roadway is closed.

West- and southbound buses operate along their regular routes to Yonge Street and the Upper Canada Mall Ring Road, then detour:

southward along Yonge;
westward along Davis Drive;
northward through the southwest entrance into the mall;
eastward along the Ring Road to the Upper Canada Mall bus shelter.
(Buses operating along the 56 Eagle - Gorham, 53 Woodspring - Clearmeadow and 520 / 521 Newmarket Community routes usually stop at this shelter.)

The buses then proceed:

southward through the southeast exit from the mall;
southward along Eagle Street West; and then
westward into the Newmarket GO Bus Terminal, ending their trips.

North- and eastbound buses start their trips at the Newmarket GO Bus Terminal, as usual, then proceed:

westward along Davis Drive West;
northward through the southwest entrance into the mall;
eastward along the Upper Canada Mall Ring Road to the bus shelter;
southward through the southeast exit from the mall;
eastward along Davis West; and then
northward along Yonge Street to the Ring Road,
resuming their regular routes northward along Yonge Street.
