Crane blocks Yonge Street and disrupts service
along 16 transit routes

Starting tonight Friday, July 24 at 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. on Monday, July 27, the City of Toronto is closing parts of Yonge Street between Bishop Avenue and Cummer / Drewry Avenue so that a crane lift can remove a tower crane from the roof of 5793 Yonge Street.

The City is closing the three northbound lanes and the centre lane and also converting the southbound lanes to accommodate traffic in both directions. As a result, passengers traveling to and from Finch Station and Finch GO Bus Terminal on Brampton Transit, TTC and York Region Transit buses may face significant delays in reaching their destinations.
