Update — August 6: Construction has ended and buses have resumed regular service.
On Wednesday, July 22, Town of Ajax contractors started to work on projects to resurface Adams and Gardiner Drives.
Durham Region Transit is detouring bus service for two weeks during the projects.
281 Beach / Audley South / Puckrin / Elm
From Wednesday, July 22 until Wednesday, August 5, buses operate along their regular route to Ritchie Avenue and Adams Drive, then detour:
northward along Ritchie;
eastward along Kingston Road (Regional Highway 2); and then
southward along Harwood Avenue South to Gardiner Drive / Mandrake Street,
resuming their regular route eastward along Mandrake.
229 Elm
From Wednesday, July 22 until Wednesday, August 5, buses operate along their regular route to Ritchie Avenue and Adams Drive, then detour:
northward along Ritchie;
eastward along Kingston Road (Regional Highway 2); and then
southward along Harwood Avenue South to Gardiner Drive / Mandrake Street,
resuming their regular route southward along Harwood South.
235 Puckrin / Elm
From Wednesday, July 22 until Wednesday, August 5, buses operate along their regular route to Mandrake Street and Harwood Avenue South, then detour:
northward along Harwood South;
westward along Kingston Road (Regional Highway 2); and then
southward along Ritchie Avenue to Adams Drive,
resuming their regular route southward along Ritchie.
