Starting today, Wednesday, July 29 until 3 p.m. tomorrow, Thursday, July 30, GO Transit is detouring buses operating on its 69 Beaverton - Sutton - Newmarket route due to construction near the Canadian National Railway tracks along Pefferlaw Road (York Regional Road 21) in the Town of Georgina.
Southbound buses (heading toward Sutton and Newmarket) operate along their regular route to Pefferlaw and Station Roads, then detour:
southwestward along Station;
westward along Homestead Road (Regional Road 79);
northward along Weir’s Sideroad; and then
eastward along Morning Glory Road to Pefferlaw Road,
resuming their regular route northward along Pefferlaw.Northbound buses (heading toward Beaverton) reverse this route.
Although buses continue to serve all regular stops, passengers should plan on adding extra time to their trips while the buses travel along this circuitous detour.
