Update — August 10, 9:25 a.m.: The Region has delayed starting work until Monday, August 17.
The Region of Durham is closing parts of Simcoe Street North (Regional Road 2) between Conlin Road and Oshawa Creek for three weeks this month, during a project to widen and improve the roadway.
Durham Region Transit and GO Transit are detouring buses during the project.

From Monday, August 10 until Friday, September 4, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Durham College / University of Ontario Institute of Technology, then proceed:
northward along Simcoe Street North;
westward along Conlin Road West;
southward along Stevenson Road North; and then
eastward along Taunton Road West to Simcoe North,
resuming their regular route southward along Simcoe.Northbound buses reverse this routing.
