Highway 7 resurfacing project may delay YRT services

Update — August 30: Another Region of York construction project further west on Highway 7 starts tomorrow, Monday, August 31, and may also affect YRT services.

Starting yesterday, Tuesday, August 4, the Region of York started a project to resurface Highway 7 between Main Street Markham and the Donald Cousens Parkway.

The project may affect buses operating along several York Region Transit routes.

522 Markham Community
Viva purple

From Tuesday, August 4 until mid-September, construction may delay or detour buses operating along Highway 7, so passengers should plan extra time for their trips.
