GO buses detour around sinkhole in Bramalea



Update — August 11, 8:13 a.m.: Regular service has resumed.


Today, GO Transit is detouring westbound GO buses operating from the Bramalea Transit Centre in Brampton. The heavy rainfall yesterday has resulting in a large pothole or sinkhole on Clark Boulevard near Lisa Street.

34 Brampton - York Mills Local via Dixon
35 Brampton - York Mills Local via Highway 27
36A Brampton - York Mills Express via Highway 427

Eastbound buses operate along their regular route.

Westbound buses operate along their regular route to Clark Boulevard and Dixie Road South, then detour:

northward along Dixie; and then
westward along Queen Street East to West Drive,
resuming their regular route westward along Queen East.

The westbound buses skip fiveregular stops:

  • on Clark Boulevard east of Lisa Street
  • on Clark at the Norton Place building;
  • on Clark east of West Drive;
  • on West Drive north of Clark Boulevard; and
  • on West south of Queen Street East.

Westbound Brampton Transit buses operating along the 1 Queen route serve the same stops along Clark Boulevard and West Drive and are also likely detouring.
