Tractor trailer rolls over; GO detours buses in Brooklin

Update — August 22, 8:32 a.m.: Regular service has resumed.

GO Transit is detouring buses operating along the 81 Beaverton - Port Perry - Whitby route around an accident on Thickson Road in Brooklin, north of Whitby. A tractor trailer has rolled over on the roadway.

Southbound buses are operating along their regular route to Highways 7 and 12 at Thickson Road, then detouring:

southward along Highways 7 and 12 (Baldwin Street); and then
eastward along Carnwith Drive to Thickson,
resuming their regular route southward along Thickson.

Northbound buses reverse this routing.

Buses skip the stops on Thickson Road at Highways 7 and 12 and at Columbus Road.
